they were, but that doesnt mean anyone has to believe me because they were MYfirst hand experiences, Ive said and agreed to that long ago.

There just one of those people that hear the end of a conversation then jump in and put there thoughts in, and there thoughts just happend to have been already mentioned. In this case mentioned and repeated many times. but not all there fault this post has become to big for any new thoughts unless u have 3 hours to waste reading it.

i usually agree with you, but i disagree here, and this is why.

if you POS and hack and claim some NMs, win some battles, and do other things you may have not won/claimed otherwise, you receive benefits. maybe gear, maybe gil to buy gear, who knows.

but then you join an xp party with items that you basically obtained via this method (whether you purchased with the new "earned" gil or rare/ex from claiming)... and perform better than you would have before... maybe get a few chains barely that you didnt before, etc..

id say thats clearly benefitting from cheating, whether they did it in the current party or not.

Hey that's a good way to look at it, I never brought that into consideration. It is possibly a very miniscule boost to the party, getting a few extra chains or killing faster.

Still though, good point.
 
It's a ripple effect, if you want to look at it that way, then the people who got a merit off partying with the guy then have a tainted merit which then earns more exp for everyone they party with and then everyone they party with ext, ext, ext. It gets ridiculous when you think of cheating as a virus.

Best description I have heard to date. I know people cheat, and I know I party with some cheaters, dont know who, dont ask the questions. Honestly I would rather not know. Comes down the old saying, Ignorance is Bliss. Yes I know its me deliberetly being ignorant and blinding myself, but what can I say its a god damn game I play to get away from the stress of Real Life. I delibiritly avoid camping things where you know at least half the people showing up are botting (see: Land Kings), because watching somebody just waltz on in and claim that shit via cheating just pisses me off.
 
Well it's just a stupid way to think about it. People are responsible for their own actions, the society around them is not responsible. Saying you benefit from cheating by partying with the guy who has better gear is like saying you were fucked over by cheating by the guy getting permabanned and you not being able to find a party member. Or maybe cause someone's dad embezzled money from his company, they have a really nice computer and never disconnect and therefore got more merits then party with you. You benefit from embezzling? At some point you just have to say you don't have control over anyone but yourself and do your own thing.

Why would you cheat to beat a stupid online game? Isn't the whole point of the game to challenge you?
Where is the fun in knowing you beat the botter and got the item?

Why bring it up then? Because you have some vendetta against the member of antares. Which you was hardly on. Hell I didn't even notice you left antares because you was never hardly there to begin with. When you was there you was whining that you cant get yyr tod. Hell if you would have found the tod and ask for help in LS I would have come, provided I was not in middle of something. Also has not gray helped you camp yyr before? As for the whole wife thing idk anything about that unless it was on vent, which I don't use or before I join.

Also find it funny group like Rise head instigators in the perseverance scandal, had a cheater in there shell the entire time?

Well idk about yegit robe, I know we dont do assault as a LS, most have statics outside of shell. Ask for help and you shall receive, asking for help does not including can you help camp yyr sometime, when you don't even know the TOD, I'm sorry but I to have thing to do other then help you find a tod for a mob. Helping you kill it another story. Was he lvling smn for LS idk. Again must been before I join, his smn was like ~29 when I join. I was alway under oppression he was lvling it because he want to and other was cheering him on because he was always in this "I'm having no fun anymore I hope smn be better mood, but i wont lvl smn unless I have the best gear."

i was in antares from the day it was created till about my last two months of play, where were you? I mean i HAD the TOD, It was posted in LSMES twice to show up, and promised by others, where were you? i never whined i couldnt get YYR ToD once, Because i got the tod several times and had it for a week straight during NA hours when it was ideal for people to show and not once did anyone ever show up, NOT ONCE. im sorry if asking for help seems like whining to you, but im sure anything you nearly have to beg for help for would since your in the group of the most selfish people i knew. Grays has not helped me camp YYR once. no one in antares had.
and there is no WIFE thing, my wife was ON vent sometimes when we would joke about her, she would get on my name and be chattin with people too on there. my RL has no place in this thread so drop it.

I had TOD, once when it was too late so i let it go. The next time was for one whole week during peak NA hours when i was promised help and not a single person showed, Ever. Thats when i decided this shell wasnt for me and joined the amazing Rise shell in my last month or so of play.
They helped me more in the time i spent with them than i had been helped since the atmaweapons broke up.
Thats pretty sad and makes me wish i had chose my end game shell a little better. But oh well.

and that cyro stuff was 100% planned, believe it or not, Grays and aldiel and I were discussing it on vent, i believe Darienn was on at the time as well and maybe Devifoxx.

It's not about cheating to beat the game. It's about realizing that beating up on rocks for an hour every 3 days isn't worth $15 a month. It's about getting what you want without having to spend the assinine amout of time camping an enemy that doesn't even have 100% to drop the item you want. I'm sorry but camping NMs, HNMs and dumb ass pop points isn't playing the game. Why do you think there are so many people that hack it? If you seriously enjoy "working" for your gear, you are a retard and should probably re-examine your life standards. That's just me though.

Welcome to Final Fantasy.

But like I've said before, that's the "game". If you want to play a different game then play a different game altogether. When you hack FFXI to make it easier you are cheating and yes it does have a ripple effect onto everyone else. If you feel like fair competition against other players is stupid, fine, but that's the game for those who want to do that. You don't have to camp NMs. It is well within the architecture of the game for other players to do this and you buy the item from them. For items that the game creates a challenge necessary for the holder of that item they make them rare/ex.

A lot of people who "work" for a living enjoy what they do to earn their pay. Others do not enjoy what they do and only work for the pay. Typically, we would suggest one finds a career they enjoy rather than a job where they just collect a check. But just because they don't enjoy it doesn't give them a right to not do their jobs and still try to collect the same pay as an employee who actually works. Same applies to games. Maybe this is not the game for you but that doesn't mean other people cannot or will not enjoy the game's challenges. To me, hacking because of these obstacles is like admitting you cannot win based on your own strength. You hack it because you "can't hack it".

A lot of things in life take time. Most good careers take years of education. Perhaps people are too spoiled and demanding and that's why they always want things now now now. But if you got everything you wanted on the first day of playing FFXI which part of it would be a game?

This just in, I played since way way back 2003, the story was fresh, the game was fun, the people in Bastok yelled about everything... When they make you beat up on rocks though for 20000 AP then 8000 AP just to get gear that you want... It doesn't matter what SE thinks of hax. They want me to play the game, and do it within the rules, make content that is good. This has no new good content, so I canceled my content IDs. Personally though I don't care what you think so give up on it.
