Ok, gonna try to give this props one more time cos i made a crappy thread that bombed last time i mentioned it and i babbled senselessly about the new hulk game. If your in to satellite imagery, travel alot, don't have money to travel and wouldn't mind seeing a place you otherwise couldn't get to, want to get the feeling of stalking someone without actually doing it, or have the notion to look up places you used to live check this out, i'm diggin it.

Naturally if i don't get at least a couple bumps on this or it has already been noted and passed over aside from my other thread i give up trying to give it props past this.

I downloaded the program a few months ago, and I think it's really awesome.

I like to spend long periods of time looking for cool landmarks. I found all the Disney Parks around the world, the pyramids, Stonehenge, that kind of stuff.

But one day I found a really creepy face on the ground in Southern Peru just west of a city named Arequipa.

(I found this while looking for the Nazca Lines ^^)

Not sure what this is, but it's creepy none-the-less!

i remember when that one photographer caught a picture of what seemed to be the Devil's face in the smoke when the Twin towers were falling, some lady explained how we notice the face. Apparently it's something the mind just produces, you can virtually look at anything and in seconds you can draw out the picture of a face. The more you know....

oh boy do i love google earth, seriously.

The only thing that annoys me is that they dont have street addresses for the rest of the world on the free version. I spent a good two hours the other day trying to navigate my way through tokyo trying to find where I stayed in Jiyugaoka. If I knew whether or not they had it on the pay version I might buy it.

So addictive. I like to just roam around Europe and Asia for random stuff. I also like to try to spot animals and random shit of the likes in like africa and asia because I'm a huge nerd. Nothing to report yet tho.

This is a fun program. Just got it last night, and the first thing I did was find the house where I grew up. (I also saw my Nunu's old house just a few blocks down, apparently the new owners are renovating the back porch, haha). Tried to find where I'm currentlly living, but there's too much tree cover in VA to see anything but the immediate downtown area. Guess I'll have to wait til winter, heh.

onuresus posted this on our LS forum a little while ago.

i was messing around with it a good while and looked at the Super Dome with the "Buildings" tab selected. I go into my room and turned on the TV and what do i see? "And now a picture of the Super Dome from Google Earth." The exact same picture w/out the "Buildings" tab selected. Apparently CNN uses Google Earth.

this about a day before the hurricane hit.

I found all kinds of fun stuff on this program, I even spotted my house, my ex's house a state over, and several other people's houses that I don't remember the addresses for ^^
