I give advise when ever I can to people, and most of the time, they accept it, cherish it, and use the new knowledge I have given them...
So I am playing SAM in the dunes(i absolutely love SAM!) and I have a great party going here...This is late at night, so the party had a few japanese, all with subs and stuff..
Party: SMN/WHM, RDM/WHM, MNK/WAR, MNK/WAR, SAM/WAR(me), i look at the search, only a lvl 16THF seeking, so i invite her...so we are fighting fine, and me and one of the MNK/WAR's were skillchaining(His name was Eldo, he is cool) since his english isn't the greatest, he asked me to explain to the THF was a skillchain is, since it would help with the SA she was doing...so I say sure, and i start to explain what and how you skillchain(havent gone into the SAWS yet..) and while i'm explaining, she says.. "Pull..." and i said, "Hold on, this is important information, it would enhance your fighting ability greatly" ...*Iwillnotgiveouthernameforidontthinkishoulddothat runs to a snipper and hits* Blahperson: "HELP!!"
So we had to fight it..no choice, so after i continue on my explanation...*snip spawns, she hits it* I wanted to flip out! i swear! this is information you should know if you want to melee! So when it finally reaches her brain, i asked "Shall we try a skillchain?" she said "ok.." ...well it didn't go right, she used the wrong WS, and the timing was way off, but i accepted it, first time, i'm not going to get mad...well, so i keep asking her for TP, and when we both have 100% TP, i hit my skillchain macro

Person: (Why would it matter, we are still killing the mob)

So after a ruthless time trying to help the new player out, trying to teach her to set a macro to tell the party TP status, and trying to help her learn how to skillchain...no..nothing...it was impossible, she refused to accept my teaching...The two mnks were skillchaining fine, i, the SAM was left to just sit there..and...not..skillchain ; ; I also don't like being mean to anyone! N00b or not! So i didn't want to force her to learn, if you aren't willing to learn something good, then so be it, i just won't party with you. But someday, if i end up in the same party with her again, i will give her a second chance...
I was taking the nice guy way, and i asked my self if The Keits were there...and he might of gone "STFU n00b" or something, but now i know how frustrated Keits gets when people don't accept his wonderful advise...
Rant number 2:
People need to learn to voke! I swear! Me and This NIN were tanking, i tanked while she casted utsusemi and provoked...well she has the mob, and i even checked, and saw
"Provoke ready! <call1>"
And when the mob moved to the mages, she didn't provoke and she had Utsusemi up(i counted the shadows)...she didn't do anything, accept chase the mob, i had to provoke....and i have been one of the only to voke in a party..and i had to pull....
This NIN didn't have any Ranged Weapon AT ALL! and when i had to run to town to get arrows and the whm wanted cure II, she pulled, i come back, i asked if i could pull again, she said no, i will, so i am like Finally! Your doing something!(after awhile, she wouldnt tank too so) Then she said i need to take a break from pulling

So for most parties, i had to pull, i had to tank, and i couldn't renkai much, except when i had people who could do chains well....The NIN was leeching exp. IMO and also she couldn't do skillchains at all, and she was rank 3, so that thread about "Rank filter good for parties?" i say no! because i have proof that rank doesn't matter(except rank 5+ then thats a maybe)..and i had to do a lot for the parties.. DD(i think i was doing really nice dmg...) Tank, and puller...I don't mind it, but when someone else in the party can pull, or tank a lot better than me, then they should do it...but its ok i guess, i have good voking abilities when it comes to partying and i see the mob run toward the mages...(i never let any mage die...or anyone else, unless i die...) but please people, do something for the party, i don't care if its pulling, half tanking, being a DD, but when you cant do, or refuse to do any of those things, it kinda makes you useless, and a exp. sucker, i could easily get someone else who does something
