I thought the point of the Flameboard...

The flameboard is suppose to be place to vent or flame a person, if i'm not mistaken. That topic, was served to "mock" a person, but more so as a "joke". I don't think that the flameboard is meant to be a place where "jokes" are posted.

My responses were there only to state my opinion on how ridiculous I felt it was to be spending one's time coming up with something like that, about a person they don't like, and a person who hasn't been here in months. Was kinda "beating the dead horse."

Some people laughed and felt the topic funny, I however felt that it was just another example of how the human race can be so disappointing and find the satisfaction in ridiculing someone else. I'm guilty for having laughed at someone else's expense before, and when I have time to realize it I regret it because I don't feel its right.

The whole "treat others with respect" I guess was just a concept that Rufus wasn't able to comprehend, because to the best of my knowledge he was never included in any of the topics that involved Windaria and many of the other members of this forum. Nothing was done to him, so really all I can see is just some kid wanting to look cool to the "other cool kids" by making a joke about a person they disliked.

Sure that's fine for those that want a laugh, but just as they were entitled to find it humorous I was entitled to find it ridiculous and wrong, and thats why I made my comments.

And if the post was only for "joking" purposes, why was it posted in the flameboard? There have been way too many "spam" topics made where there are no valid flames whatsoever, and I don't see how Rufus' topic would of qualified as a valid flame.

Too bad the whole "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" isn't too common among people these days.

Pull up an easy target from the past for no reason but a jab for a laugh when there's more then enough current fodder = fail.

Going on a crusade about how horrible people are for (a misguided at best joke) failing to joke on the FB for the above reasons = fail.

Fearing for the freedom expressed in a place on a message board = fail.

Aside from that, i don't know if you people missed it or not but funny lives on the FB whereas everything else here is concerned. If you missed it or don't get it that's your bone to pick with whoever. What're you people fucking new? :rtfm:

There's entirely too much give a fuck in the past three pages for the subject matter, go do something worth your time. :P

lol. Anyway, his post wasn't a flame. It was just kinda there, and like has been said before, served no purpose. Why anyone would be pussy enough to flame someone who can't defend themselves in the first place I dunno, but that wasn't even really a flame. The OP himself even admitted in the topic somewhere that he wasn't really sure where to post it. My answer? Nowhere, or qcnn where they eat that kinda stuff up and at least she can reply.

You might avoid confusion by checking your facts before you stick your foot in it. When Mokk wants to say something he PMs usually, peregrine was just too much to pass up.

Meh. My being here was cleared over your head and as he rarely uses the account save the random jab for fun the statements made in your link are absolutely correct not only for his unique situation for mine as well. As for me, different server 3 years back, didn't make it too much past 40. The complications of our identity was not yours to overcomplicate. As this as well as all the posts we are involved in do not involve XI save maybe in passing mention my in game names are really not of any consequence. You considering me a sockpuppet really isn't going to keep either one of us up at night.

If it were an alt account that'd be great, as it isn't he's simply stirring shit for the sake of doing it based on pretty shakey information. Deflecting on to me doesn't make the situation any less sad for all involved.

And he was right. And you admitted to taking jabs at Peregrine in his topic while hiding behind the "RoM" name in this very topic. So he did exactly what the sticky topic said he would. Anything else?

Wow, i'd been trying so hard to hide that i occasionally use this account to send messages and talk to people all the while telling them it's me so they don't get spooked by some random douchebag sending them a PM. So glad you're on top of things. Been reading my PMs too? Had it been your business youd've been as informed as your administrator or .. any of the other random people i've felt like responding to in their threads. Of those peregrine has been the only one that got me to speak publicly just because i'm a fanboy, can't help myself.
