After talking in Ls for a little bit the other day, I brought up Despot. I thought I could solo him as bst (Currently 74) but a lot of other folks said I didn't have a chance. This of course meant I had to, so I killed a few placeholders before I saw him on scan. After about a half-hour to forty-five minutes of fighting the punk finally died. He hit me twice the whole fight. It was a real thrill that I intend to repeat.

Oh, and Tyrath: I told you.

Is Despot solo'able by any other job? Like DRG/WHM for instance? Just curious.

Congrats btw, Ham. As one who loves to solo, I always have alot of respect for those who go above and beyond in their solo'ing. ^.^
 
Oh and by the way, Charybdis is also on my list, so if anyone would like me to attempt to solo it for them, I'd love to try.

Doubtful. He said it took him more than an hour. So I assume he went through ALOT of pets. You may be able to with alot of skill, good timing, and plenty of inventory space for Yag Drinks o_O;

I wouldn't be suprised if he just recycled 2 or 3, unless the area doesn't allow for recycling (too far outside their spawn area). I've never been to sky so...

Anyway, great going Hamlett, you're a great BST ;D

And believe me guys, soloing mobs like this as a BST is no easy task. Takes alot of skill and luck(just like everything with BST, lol). You rock Hamlett. I'll try him when I can get all the birds to con at most even prey.

No, impossible, his Panzerfausts hit regular melees for 800-1000. He spams them, one right after the other almost to the point where you see him smacking you with Panzerfaust more than with a regular hit.

BST would be the only thing that could solo this. Unsleepable, has too much accuracy, hits too fast for too many shadows, and for too much damage.

BST ftw

edit: okay, a REALLY good BRD/BST with Virelai and Charm -may- be able to do this. May is the key word here.
