Tymon said:No, impossible, his Panzerfausts hit regular melees for 800-1000. He spams them, one right after the other almost to the point where you see him smacking you with Panzerfaust more than with a regular hit.
BST would be the only thing that could solo this. Unsleepable, has too much accuracy, hits too fast for too many shadows, and for too much damage.
BST ftw
edit: okay, a REALLY good BRD/BST with Virelai and Charm -may- be able to do this. May is the key word here.
actually...
i don't think you should limit it to brd/bst. Any job 74~75 / bst 75 should be able to kill despot. When i soloed him i did it with /nin and didn't get hit once. The birds are really easy to kite (don't link either...) if you mischarm and brd would have no problem using mazurka and chr etude. The birds themselves are only 72-74 so with a decent amount of CHR and an apollo staff any /bst job would stand a good chance on him. Hell nin/bst could even debuff him making it faster and rdm/bst could probably gravity him. The only thing that you have to watch out for is not letting the pets die too fast. You can run a good distance before one dies so depending on how safe you wanna play, you can mischarm once or twice without worrying about it.
Panzerfausts were only hitting me for about 200~400 (taru) when we killed him with nin war war rdm.
I don't think Charbydis is possible. There aren't enough pets to swap through quick enough. Charby can eat one of the mantas in 15 seconds if he feels like it (normals do about 250+ Cross attack 1000+) and the only way i could think of beating him is pulling him to jelly mobs and swapping those (even then I don't know how long they'd last.) I think the mantas probably have around 3000 hp, but you have to factor in that Charby attacks a lot each round. If you were planning to swap mantas you'd have to basically make sure that each one survives more than 15 secs after pulling them out of their spawn area so you can count on them to repop full health. But if you mischarm once with him close by you'd probably be dead since shadow/blink/stoneskin doesn't do anything for you since you'll evade 0 hits on bst.
Turrok and ancient goobbue sounds more like feasable challenges to me. Also ridiculously fun to solo aquarius around 65 where everything links and is charm resistant.
congrats!
