I won the lot, but didnt get the item!

Lots/Rolls are server side, fuck with them and it'll set bells and whistles off.

Lots/Rolls are based off of an atomic clock and very easy to manipulate.

Its pretty easy to consistently roll high in a treasure pool as long as there are several items to bench your lot on.

That definitely sounds like the way it works, which also means, a program which manipulates you to cast lots at a certain time would be undetectable. Really, that's not the issue here, Halley is winning items with a lot lower than the highest.

I read the OP, I question the appearance of a Quartermaster dot because frankly it's too simple of a scenario for a bot that sorts treasure to you regardless of other members. If such a thing existed, or has just lately, I think people would have heard about it else where with much more important items than a few measily seals. I'm not saying it wasn't a dick move, or that it isn't strange if QM wasn't used.

I'm curious how you know this...

because me and him wrote the script for this.

Are you sure? I've seen too many instances of way across the board lotting, namely in dynamis where we have one person lotting coins. Right down the line will be any assortment of numbers from 9 to 900.

Unless you meant that each /item/ has its own scale that climbs on its own clock. Then just ignore my comment.

That said, I doubt it was a quartermaster thing, to echo everyone else's sentiment. You can't just pop on and off QM, it takes an extra prompt to do (kinda like level sync) where you can't just pop it on and off. If QM is activated, it would empty the treasure pool, not just the seal.

Unless he had passed all the crystals...

Bah. Sleepy.

passing all of the crystals and other items in the pool takes a few moments. during which he wouldn't be able to use the PL character and/or engage and operate his lvling character without someone noticing. unless he had someone else controlling the PL of course.

but i'm hearing more and more tails of this type of thing going around, to the point that i hope this maint tomorrow is going to try and fix it.

While it takes a moment to turn off and off, it's nothing like level sync. I don't understand why it would take so long to activate > pass one or two items > deactivate > repeat on the next mob.

Turning on QM ***does not*** empty the treasure pool, it only does that if a monster is killed while QM is active. If items are in the pool already, when you turn on QM they stay in the pool until the QM passes those items to himself.

I was in dynamis when this happened. Wootz ores were 3rd down on the list for "auto-drop" and they went to the same 3 people b4 the other items even had the chance to drop. I didn't care enough to say something since it was our last run, but it still pissed me off.

Now that I know its happened more than just in that shell...well next time I'll just bring up the issue. I know for a fact that it isn't normal, no quartermaster, or none of the high lot crap. It just went to certain people all the time. my two cents

It would have to be something else - I don't think QM works in Dynamis.

Not only that but for such a strange set of events, there are no screenshots...lol

Events like these would easily be documented. Including /clock stamps of the set of events, it would show people casting lots and the "cheater" obtaining those items with a lower lot.

That's only one qualm I have with these strange sets of events. You guys didn't even mention if the player obtained the item DIRECTLY after lotting lower than you, which would scream hax, but that's not the case either.

passing crystals with light luggage wouldn't take very long

light luggage just sorts your inventory. nothing to do with the pool.

Hrm?

Light Luggage (3.1) is the plugin thats been requested for years, a plugin that will automatically lot or pass items that come in the treasure pool and automatically stack (NOT SORT) all items entering your Inventory

Were you in SV? I can't remember

In regards to the high-lotting thing, I rolled 950+ 3 times in a row on the treasure in a campaign today, and I certainly don't use any 3rd party programs; for 1, I wouldn't know wtf to do xD Is there a chance the high-lotting you see in campaign is due to a different way they're working out lots in campaign?

Wootz Ores in Dynamis

Hey Tari,

I can't explain how "the same three people got ores all the time" but I do know that treasure pools in Dynamis work a bit differently than the standard EXP party variety.

There seems to be a priority grouping for items in Dynamis. A piece of Relic Armor or Dynamis Currency will not get pushed out of the treasure pool by newly dropped items if there is a wootz ore, goblin grease, lancewood log or other such item in the pool, as these items seem to be in a different priority grouping. If the pool is full, with Relic/Currency at the top and Wootz in the middle, and you add one more item to the pool, then the Wootz will get kicked out immediately, leaving the Relic/Currency still at the top of the list.

That’s just something that I have noticed. The first time it happened everyone was like, "What the... ?" But then we figured it out.

oh. i never messed with the settings of my windower that much. i missed that part.

Tristam,

I dont think thats true. I've never done just "one run." In any dynamis shell. Sky shell's sure, but not Dynamis. I've stayed with this shell that I'm with now all summer long. and the previouse ones before that I've stayed with for a lot of runs.

Idk if your in the same shell as me, but the shell I'm still in is taking a break. Either way I thought it very fishy, but I didn't care to mention it then, and this happened at the end of may or early June, I really dont remember.

I only brought it up to say that maybe there is some kind of lotting program out there. I saw that things were dropping out of order when there were items that were not coins, that were still up. Since it all seemed ok, no one was saying anything, I thought it wise to keep my mouth shut.

For the record, it did bother me, but I do not care now. If it happens again I will express my concern to the shell leader(s).
