I won the lot, but didnt get the item!

I dont know how to edit, replace "Summer" with "Spring"

Taritzu's first run with SanctusVires was the last run Stine and I led, prior to our exit.

Tristam,

I dont think thats true. I've never done just "one run." In any dynamis shell. Sky shell's sure, but not Dynamis. I've stayed with this shell that I'm with now all summer long. and the previouse ones before that I've stayed with for a lot of runs.

Idk if your in the same shell as me, but the shell I'm still in is taking a break. Either way I thought it very fishy, but I didn't care to mention it then, and this happened at the end of may or early June, I really dont remember.

I only brought it up to say that maybe there is some kind of lotting program out there. I saw that things were dropping out of order when there were items that were not coins, that were still up. Since it all seemed ok, no one was saying anything, I thought it wise to keep my mouth shut.

For the record, it did bother me, but I do not care now. If it happens again I will express my concern to the shell leader(s).

It may be just me but I think you misunderstand what Trist was saying; I took his post as meaning that the very last run they led (before new leadership took over, I assume) was the first run you attended, not that you left after 1 run. If not, ignore, but that seemed like what he meant to me :P

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head.

I'm curious if you were referring to the Bastok run or Beaucedine run though Taritzu. Both can drop wootz ores, and they were the two last Sunday zones that we did as a shell.

I did misunderstand it, I totally read that wrong.

Stan, it was the Bastok Run. Not the Beau run.

But I didn't say just "one run", now did I? I said "first run".

As for anything fishy that was going on, if it happened in May or June, then it didn't happen on my watch, and I do suggest you resolve it with the shell's current leadership, in whatever form that might be.

Simply put, there was no fishy behavior occurring when we led the shell as we had a fairly transparent way of leading, and since we (the wife and I) weren't there after we quit, I couldn't tell you if there was or not when you ran with them, but I can say I left the management of the shell in the hands of five people in whom I trusted implicitly.

Well, if it was me you're referring to getting those two wootz ores during that bastok run - and they were definitely not dropped to me back to back, actually one closer to the beginning of the run and then again at the end - I can assure you that it was nothing more than pure luck. I can't get you to take my word for it, but I'm sure there's someone out there who can tell you that I've played on the ps2 version of this game for about 4 years until recently when I finally made the switch over to pc, and that I'm not the most computer savvy person around. I can still hardly understand how windower works let alone the intricacies of a third party bot program.

I'm not saying that I am the person you were indirectly referring to at all in your initial post, but given the circumstances that happened during that bastok run I could see why you would be. Just trying to clear up any misconceptions that there may have been.

Tristam, your right, I missunderstood your post.

Stan, I dont really recall, since I dont really care anymore. I minded at the time, not anymore.

Tristam, I said if it were to occure again, then I would address it when it happens.

As far as who recieved the ore idk. Maybe it was a glitch it could be that.

Still a great shell, still great people, still want to stay in the shell.

I do remember being pissed and thinking it was incredibly fishy, that is all. I hope that is clear enough.

Sure, I got you

I was just making my stance clear on "I remember you from a very brief time, and don't know jack about whatever happened after Dec. 31, 2008."

If the guy tried to QM after they both lotted, it would not QM to him. Also QM does take a few to process if you do it after a mob dies. I had QMed a LSmate after royal ramble and it did not process right away. It does sound like 3rd party tools. Pretty sure most people would not admit if that was the case.

If the GM's do anything about it, i would be surprised.
If they find out that 3rd party tools were being used, i would not be surprised.
Halley is the douche, the bag it comes with and the box they both come in. I have met this jerk before, and i'm a people person.

If it's any consolation I been seeing a LOT of wierd crap with treasure pools. I choked it up to people zoning too soon and/or full inventories, but I have won shit from unions that I wasn't top lotter on. Most recently was a Dweomer Knife in W.Sarutabaruta where I was kinda sad I didn't win it, I rolled a 700+ on it and was top of the list but someone was a clutch lotter and snatched it up at the last second. The won the lot, and I saw the message "So-And-so obtains a Dweomer Knife" but when I got to Bastok I had one in my inventory.

Not sure if that relates, but it's definitely wierd...

And now reading this thread I am wondering if they figured out a pattern to that and are exploiting it. I'm not joining the witch hunt by any means, but it's definitely suspect.

They probably left the area and your lot was the next highest.

Maybe this update fucked with the lotting system?

Most probably; Like I said earlier, I lotted 950+ on the 3 items in my union's treasure pool, and promptly /shouted apologising to them all for my hax0rz lots, but I've never even lotted twice 900+, let alone 3 950+. Maybe I was just lucky, but the amount of stories coming up about excessively high lots from the same players consecutively makes me think it's more than just coinkydink.

In regards to the high-lotting thing, I rolled 950+ 3 times in a row on the treasure in a campaign today, and I certainly don't use any 3rd party programs; for 1, I wouldn't know wtf to do xD Is there a chance the high-lotting you see in campaign is due to a different way they're working out lots in campaign?

Yeah fuck that union shit it never seems to work out for me and I have feeling there might be a slightly different set up for lots in unions. Who the fuck knows though, SE isnt big on divulging such things.

I was giving it some thought, and I have one possible answer. SE said that how much you do would effect what you could get. Perhaps it is based on your effort towards the union. you need so where around 500 points to lot at all. So it would not be too much more to figure the effort put to the union might effect where your lots would place. More work toward the union the higher the chance of 900+ lots maybe.

More work toward the union the higher the chance of 900+ lots maybe.

That might be exactly what is happening. Will have to test through various jobs and exp earned to see if there is a correlation between points earned and lots cast. Ideally, the set up should be one party, and only that party in a single union. lol try getting people on any server to cooperate though. >.>
Fat chance.

To the OP:

The guy in your party just lotted seals without anyone else doing so, and on the rare occasions that you lotted (and beat him), he QM'd himself for a few seconds between mob kills and passed on the seal (which made it drop to him).
Simple game mechanics. There is no third party program that he used to hack himself seals with <_<.

To the Bastok "sumting fishy goin on in hurr" people:

As it has been said before - the order of stuff staying in the pool is AF > Coins > Crafting materials. Again, no one cheated you out of anything, you're just clueless as to how to how the game works. Stop with your conspiracy theories and crazy lotting programs. God.

That is all.

Someone's a little defensive dont ya think? And no, any items in the treasure pool before a QM is set stay that way and drop randomly, tested it out the other day. Maybe you should also learn how the game works before posting man.
