Fckin ice storm. Anybody else in the South Carolina and north Georgia area get stuck in it yesterday? My power and cable just got restored this morning.

A tree limb fell on my truck. Pwned by mother nature. >.>

Gawd you'd think the state that's famous for being snowed in would be the last place it was sunny and warm =z

Still have yet to see any real snow up here in CO

Horrible year for natural disasters :/

All we have had over here this year are about 1 total foot of snow from 3 seperate snowfalls (all gone now), and 1-2 tornados.

I guess god doesn't have anything against corn.

But seriously that sucks man, I saw pictures of it down there, talk about sudden. A whole day without power much less the internet.... damn... no heat, no lighting... what about plumbing and phones?

Well... I had running water, just not hot water. Cold showers suck. >.>

And I don't have a house phone, I only have a cell. And I'm assuming my cell had no bars because of ice on the towers... but I might just be stupid and that may have nothing to do with it at all.

So, cold water, no power, no phone... and my truck was running on empty.

I ate a brick of ramen noodles for dinner. Desparate times.... right? lol

Man what did you do all day? All I have to keep me entertained is a GBA. Well, that and about 10 unread books that I've been meaning to get around to.

Still, with no lights... Damn... we need to re-invent fire so we have it incase of a massive power loss. Became obsolete so we forgot how to make it.

I actually filled a few pages in my song book by light of my trusty Coleman lantern. I had to go to work at 11:00pm that night, so I slept most of the day away anyhow.

It really wasn't that bad, It's just that I had finally got my computer working again, and got everything setup for the first time in a few months.... then WHAM!

2" thick ice on everything.... >.>

Oh snap, that's a real product? There's a dude named Ramennoodle in my LS, was always wondering what the f__k he was on when he made that name.

Dude.... you've never eaten a pack of Ramen noodles? I lived on them in college... they are like, 18 cents a pack. XD

Who doesn't know about Ramen? o.O;;

Around here we call it crackhead soup, because the stuff is so cheap and generally affordable no matter who you are, or what you choose to blow your money on ;D

Either way, it's good stuff and very easy to make. If you ever need to live cheap Ramen is the way to go. 5 bucks will get you like a weeks worth of it, and all you need to make it is boiling water. No boiling water? eat it in it's natural state (Brick), still tastes pretty good, and it's crunchy!

It was originally created by the people who make "I can't believe it's not butter" who were going to call it "Help I can't afford dinner." Of course, later the name was changed to something slightly less offensive.

That last paragraph was a joke.

Doesn't snow here...Lowest it gets is in the 30's. No rainclouds, anyway, so no chance for snow. There are perks to living in a desert...Although 110 degree summers certainly aren't one of them.

I'm in the same boat up here in Maine. We just got everything coated in a thin shen of ice. Of course, I'm writing this from work, where I have dual UPS, backup generator and a T-1, and being the telco's biggest customer, we would be one of the first back up if I lost power/net.

So I'm in a cocoon of technology.
