I don't know how well this would work...but just a thought.

Has anyone ever tried to counter-camp the gilsellers like 24-7? Not seriously 24-7 but set aside a day or two out of each week to follow the gil sellers around to every place they go and camp/kill everything that they do?

I would like to get about 4 alliences worth of people to stalk them someday. It doesn't matter who gets the claim, and we all share the ToD and what ever alliance kills it shares the gil/items. Those details can be worked out later.

Seriously though, if we had at least one good allience always working together to cc the gil sellers then maybe they will stop or resort to having to mine/log/harvest/chocobo-digging for their gil.

We all know who the gil sellers are... so all we have to do is /sea all ..... and know exactly where they are... and what they are camping.

XD I search them as soon as I sign on just to see if any windows are open... and I am sure I am not the only one.

Its time we made a stand against them or something. SE isn't going to stop them... so lets give it a shot...

Anyone have any pros... cons... ideas...interest?

Tried it, won claims. Got banned. Not again.

Got ban as following some one to every EXP camp or farming 24/7 is same as spamming what i find stupid i was just trying to make money XD i did get a nice GM but he had to follow "rules" heck i have talked to the GM on the phone to so not just a GMs falt but the dang rules that are JP>EU>NA

Banned >.> wtf???? why?
Following some one 24/7 was counted the same as spamming and got band for 2 months from my jp account and started lving my na account :3

Then in that case it hurts crafters who need to go mine/log/harvest their items. Either way, they win.

I seriously don't think that the gs would be able to pull enough money out of mining/harvesting and such to support their business. They would be competing with theirselves and there's these spots in just about every location.

But i do see your point... I am just sick of gs and want something to remove them from my plane of exsistence XD

Of course. I understand your view and thoughts. If we all could live in a perfect world.

Put it this way.

The day we stop terroism and evil completely is the day we can stop gilsellers.

This is another example of unacceptable behavior here at QCDN.
The above post served no purpose other than to publically belittle another user. Consider this your warning Pesmerga, should you continue to display such attitude vs other QCDN members, your access to QCDN may be temporarily or permanently restricted.

If you, or anyone else, wish to further discuss this, please quote my message to What is wrong with the QCDN Community Standards? and reply there, so that all the QCDN policy issues are in one place. Thanks.

I am adding your quote to my sig :>

Its just to me... this is a game (or am I wrong?) and its suppose to be fun... but everyday you go and try to camp something and then gs get it... it does become stressful (such as the reason for my recent break from the game).

The gs just pull the wings off my butterfly. ; ;

There's gotta be something we can do ><

I think part of the problem may be that people are simply not willing to accept the second best item.

RMT campers are a problem in FFXI more so than in some other games because of the way spawns and claims work. However, a large part of the problem is also that players are too obsessed with gear. So what if you have one less stat on some piece of gear?

Sure +1 something or other makes a difference, but does not having it make the game unplayable? Does not having it make the game less fun?

Then there are those who will not PT with you unless you are decked out, fine, find others like you who will.

I guess all I am saying is that while it may be difficult to impossible to change circumstances, the one thing one can change is attitude. This game as presumably lots of things that could be fun, and are not monopolized by GS. Of course enjoying that content doesn't solve the GS issue, but then again, nothing will.

If we have several people "following them" then it would be harder to say we were spamming them. 4 full alliances that would be 342 people... they couldn't keep up with all of us.

Hate problems? there is now a glitch over it just need cure 2 + DS you wait for RMT to get hurt and you over cure them.... mob goes unclaimed as emity is equal, your tank vokes and flashes/nin wheel. Over load mob on emity and you got it. Tried this on VE last night and worked!

It's a game alright, but with factors which tie into the game making it seem "half" real-life, it's more then just a game in a way. Got to put proper effort in (also known has, huge amount of time, or hard work) to get anything done. And what one does greatly affects the others.

Aside from that, everyday you go and try to camp something, even if you don't get it, or neither does the gilsellers, someone else does anyway, that in turn is stressful and frustrating too.

Not putting down your posts in any way at all, I'm just pointing out other things to consider about.

Oh please don't sling mud at me for what I am about to say... but seriously... I don't care about drops. :> In fact I don't know what half of the nms on the server drop nor do I know the stats of the equipment. If it isn't for blm I dont care. XD

What I want more is just the fact that I can say, yeah helped kill that. Fafnir, Tiamat, Vrtra, Serket, King Arthro, Roc, Cassie, XD that big bird in Rolenberry fields, if it checks impossible to guage, I want to kill it.

Theres several nms I haven't got to kill yet because everytime I go there... the gs claim and kill...

I'm a title prostitute. XD

Fair enough, it's not exactly a bad thing. I see your reason, and everyone else has their reasons.

4 Full Alliances is only 72 people. And finding 72 people to follow them full time is incredibly difficult, not to mention even 4 people. There simply isn't enough time to worry or care for that.

If you increase the number of mobs that drop some of the most coveted items then that would lower prices at least and make some of them craftable

XD yeah... 18x 4 is 72 :> I was wrapped up in what I was saying.

I was hoping that maybe we could set up a day through the wonderful use of qcdn. Just one day say next week... oh what ever day works best for everyone (no sky, dynamis, etc) and just mess with their heads. You wouldn't even have to do that the entire day you were on... just... oh the gs are camping cassie and I haven't got cassies title so go join the qcdn alliance and we out camp the gs. :>

Haha. Listen, please don't be angry or offended with what I am about to say, I'm only pointing it out for the sake of discussion, but ever tried setting up even one mission run, quest run, BCNM run, or a Optical Hat run for example? It's near impossible. Everyone's got something to do on X day. Just read most of the posts in Event Scheduling. And you'll see what I mean.

For your idea to work perfectly, you might want to schedule it 3 months in advance. 3 months being "fair". Leaves plenty of time for people to get a free day without any other commitments.
