Identifying people by their avatars?

Just a simple question really. I was browsing the forums and whatnot, and I suddenly realized that sometimes I identify people by what avatar they have.

Classic cases are Sabia, Rones, and Skaw. I think if they ever changed their avatars I might not even realize it was their posts I was reading.

At any rate, my question to you is, do you identify the people here by their avatars?

I tend to do that quite a bit. Whenever a regular changes avatars it throws me off for a week or two, much like if a friend got a new haircut or started/stopped wearing glasses. Takes a while to incorporate it into your image of them.

Yeah.. I was actually quite shocked myself when I met Rones in game for the first time.. I dunno why, but I figured his character would resemble his avatar/sig with dark hair and glasses. XD
