Is anyone else obsessed with space shooters? I've been playing my saturn more and more ever since i heard this was coming out, and its been out for a few days and its just as wonderful as i remember it from Dcast. The theme for it is wonderful too.

Also, it stands firm to the Treasure name with an ever increasing number of boss fights as you get up in levels. I just broke the top 4000 (really good considering) and my co-worker is in the top 1000.
 
I loved the GC version. Probably one of the hardest games I've ever played. I'm really excited that it's released on the XBLA and I was stoked to hear about it coming. I just can't justify the time I'd spend on it right now so I'm pushin' myself not to pick it up just yet.

I really can't stress enough how amazing this game is, if you've never played it consider this good advice and also a warning... it's that hard.

Co-worker just broke in to the top 500 with a 5,000,000 point run. Almost perfect chained the first two levels. He makes me really not want to play it anymore, but i really really have to. I reckon i'll be able to be in the top 2000 pretty soon and its only up from there.

Top 100 or so will never be touched by anyone that can't perfect chain the entire game, which makes me pretty sad.
 
I played the demo. This game is pretty beefy.
 
I played the GC version of this, and it was lovably Hard. xD
 
Yeah, I played this game for only thirty minutes, but it was really awesome!

Its ok blue, we will go easy on you...We know its your first time =P. Someday I hope to get my first time...but I'm still waiting for the perfect post and when the time is right lol.
 
Co-worker came over and we played some ranked 2 player. #30 in the world atm and the best american players. I still haven't broken the top 1000 yet, but he is sitting at around 500.
 
I loved this game on the Gamecube. Definitely would pick it up if I still had my ecksbawks.
Beating the game is a feat in itself.
 
I love this game but it still doesn't compare to the difficulty of Radiant Silvergun. That game is just fucked up crazy hard... and awesome.
 
Really? The only part i ever had trouble with in Radient Silvergun is the final boss, and even then at least he still has bullet pattern that you can survive if you are lucky. The final few stages of Ikaruga is basically just praying that everything goes your way, but knowing deep down that it won't.
 
I can't even get past the beginning of the second level on Ikaruga. =(

I JUST figured out how the chains work by watching the #1 guy's replay.

Jeez... this game is insane. Someone care to co-op with me sometime so I can get the hang of it?
 
I'm the only one out of all my QCDN friends that has it, and i can't imagine that any other people have it, but i would be more than happy to duo it with you. I think i'm still top 50 world pair scores with my co-worker.

EDIT: Lag is usually pretty nasty though. It helps a lot if you can do it on the same xbox.

I have it on my Dreamcast, and suck at it lol. I'm better at Radiant SG which is a better game anyway IMO. :3
 
I can finally make it to the second boss. I'm also starting to get up there in the online ranking.
 
love this game ^^, graphics and concept were awesome for its time, and still is now
