i'm a little worried

[Blackchaoshero]

I am an avid reader. i love fiction, all fiction, any fiction and up near the peak of books is hitchhikers guide... now, first thing i heard was they were making a movie... this had great potential but i had low expectations... massacre after massacre of good books for television has destroyed all hope i have that good books can be made into good movies (with exception of LOTR but that was an exceptional masterwork) here is the opinion of man who has seen this movie.... this link

has scared me...

Ignore the die hard fans that were expecting an identical representation of the book in film form.

Instead look forward to a screenplay written by Douglas Adams that was designed to be a film version, is as different from the Book, TV show and Radio show as all those are to each other (seriously they all contradict each other wonderfully), and is going to be AWESOME! ... Awesome to the MAX!

I've also heard the exact opposite of what was written there, so I'm going to do what I usually do and ignore everyone else's opinion.

I know where my towel is.

And I actually liked the Phantom Menace, probably helped by the fact that I didn't put my entire life on hold expecting it to be the end-all of human cinema.

Cheers!

I'll be happy no matter what as long as Zaphod has 2 heads and 3 arms, but I know he won't, so I'll just go see it and hope they were creative enough to make me not bitch about what all they left out.

I wouldnt go so far as to call it an exceptional masterwork. Not trying to start a fight here or anything, cuz I like LOTR too ^.^
