Unfortunately, not to FFXI but to normal life. I just got back from spending a week at YMCA Camp Cullen as an "SA" (Serve Association). I (along with other SA's) was there to perform duties like sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, carrying garbage, moving tables, etc.
All I can say that it was the best-worst time of my life. Sure, I was miserable. Desperately trying to take my contacts out, in the dark, with my only source of light being my dying iPod, with critters crawling on my feet, in a hot and sticky cabin full of campers who enjoy farting; was not much fun, along with all the labor. However; everyone was so nice! I had so much fun working with my new friends and seeing all the kids having fun at their activities. I really learned to appreciate the life I have. I used to complain alot; but after this experience, I know to be thankful. I met many people who have more problems than I do and have to do what I did for their living. All I spent was a week, and they have to spend their lives doing that. But they enjoy it, and I will respect that.
This was such a valuable experience, and I'll never forget it.
's for everyone!
