How do you describe a color to a blind person?

Or music to a deaf person? (Obviously a way, lol >.> Beethoven, hullo??)

And um...

Is it possible to envision a color that hasn't been thought up?

How do you know, what you see as red, is what I see as red, your red, might look like your blue to me, but I have been raised, seeing it, and knowing it as red, and you see it, and it is red to you.

How do you know we see exactly the same thing?

Well, I would think describing a color to a blind person would be tougher to do than a song/music to a deaf person. Usually with music people can relate it to an emotion, thus you can describe the tone through emotions and how the music is affecting you. On the other hand, a color is simply that, just a color, while the blind person should be able to imagine it, how can you tell the difference between what your color is and what they're thinking of. Music is just easier to describe I think, colors just can't be described as well IMO.

Beethoven could understand music because he could hear before going deaf.

I have no doubt that blind people could dream with colors, probably random flashing lights, but they possibly don't know what they're seeing.
