I'm having a hell of a time learning Maelstrom

I've been at it for hours as 56 blu with the AF hands which *should* make learning spells easier. The damn krakens in the Isle have used it tons and tons of times, yet I still haven't learned it. It's driving me crazy.

Anyone have any words of advice? I haven't had this much trouble learning a spell in a long long time.

My advice would be to wait 2 levels till you can equip the body. You won't even be able to use the spell till 61 anyway, and you should have a greater chance of learning the spell then. No point in causing undue stress over a spell you're likely only going to get for completions sake.

Just bad luck,

Think yourself lucky if the spells you have trouble with come from low level mobs that you can solo all day. When this happens with Dahaks, you'll really be frustrated.

Yeah, best thing about Dahaks, Body Slam is there most dangerous TP move, normally you would want to stun it to survive, lol. Spell learning is still pretty random. It took me 2 full lvls (16-18) to learn healing breeze, think it took me 1-2 kills in bibiki to learn wild carrot.
