I'm just so lost in the storyline. Someone please help?

Call me dumb, 'cause i am for not getting this shit. This game uses big words. I'm sooo lost and unsure of what is going on and what our "main" goal in the game is. In 7, it was to reach and kill Sephrioph(sp?). The game made that so clear by stating it, and by talking in todays laungage. Same with 8, same with 9, same with 10.

Alot of the script is hard to follow, and with all this different kind of nethicite and shit going around, its all a bunch of powerful rocks to me.

Right now, I JUST got the 3rd Esper in the Crystal Core. But what is the group after? I'm just so lost and if someone can please clearify these questions would be greatly apperciated.

A serious of questions:

1. Nethicite

I hear theres so many types of things, methacite, Diefected-Nethicite, anything eles i'm forgetting?

2. Sword of Kings

Left by the dynast King. Does it destroy shards?

3. I just ran into Occlerons(spelling and also forgot what they were called)

There was these beings and it was pretty cool, apperently Ashe is the chosen one, what's up with that?

4. Those beings also gave me some blue sword, the Treaty-sword. That's Whack!?

5. Venat

What the hell is that thing? Boss of the game i'm guessing.

If anyone can clearifty all this for me will be greatly appercaited.

Someone please correct me if i'm wrong.

1. There's nethicite, deifacted-nethicite, manufacted nethicite, and of course your Dawn/Dusk/Midlight shards, iirc.

2. The sword destroys nethicite all together, making it unuseable.

3. Occuria, the "gods" of Ivalice I assume, chose Ashe because she is a descendant of the Dynast-King, to do exactly what Raithwall did: use the Treaty-Blade to cut new nethicite to eliminate Archadia, and have rule over all of Ivalice like Raithwall did; history set as they deem fit.

4. Treaty-Blade, cuts new nethicite, mentioned above.

5. Venat is the 'heretic' of the Occuria, who turned traitor to them in order to help Vayne and Cid help get "history back in the hands of man."

I think that's all about right..

Thanks for all that very much, it cleared some things up. One thing about all those nethicite stuff...... what does each one do?

Deifacted Nethicite is the "real" nethicite, The dawn/midlight/dusk shards are Deifacted Nethicite. Manufacted Nethicite is the stuff the emipre makes.
The Sun-Cryst is what the shards were cut from. Its just one big chunk of Deifacted Nethicite.

Also, my theory is that the Sword of Kings was Raithwal's Treaty Blade he used to cut his shards. But you only get to use it once, or somesuch. Afterwards it simply has the power to cut Nethicite.
 
Crossing my fingers it's Vayne cus he resembles the last boss in FF10 so much >.>
 
hmm idk, i don't find he looks much like Jecht, and he certainly doesn't have the same attitude.
 
er... I meant the guy with the blue hair that you had to fight 3 times...

can't remember his name, kinda has the same role as Vayne (ok mebbe he's not the *final* boss like Sin is but he was close enuf)

Well technically, Venat joins together with Vayne for the last boss fight. So its Venat and Vayne...

bah ya'lls setup was different than normal. Usually its **spoiler, then the middle of the page has the spoiler then a non-spoiler comment at the bottom after a series of more blank enters. Well its not a set rule but thats how I'm used to reading it. This time the spoiler was typed at the bottom so I thought it was just a non-spoiler comment and now I done read who the last boss was. Ah well life goes on lol.

yeah it's no problem. Besides I was flipping through the players guide finding the hunt section and glimpsed at the picture for the final boss by accident anyway so the identity of the final boss was kind of expected. Only thing new to me was the merge.
 
Ya i saw it coming, its obvious lol. But what's bad is, in the book, right after the end of the walkthrough which is the boss, is the hunts section on the very next page lol. So i kept going back there and everytime i went to the hunts, i would accedently read a few words and be like DAMNIT!
