I have a Creative Fatal1ty headset that is an awesome headset for the price, but I'd like something with better fidelity and if possible surround sound.
I like the idea of the Logitech G35 headset, especially since I love my logitech surround system for my computer; but I absolutely do not want a USB headset. I had the USB version of that creative headset and I hated the USB connection; it forced me to have my computer recognize the USB connection as the primary sound device BEFORE I activated a program or it wouldn't work. And occasionally I'd hear this bizarre distortion until I unplugged and reconnected them; so a USB headset is out.
So, I'm curious if anyone knows of a great quality headset. It needs to use dual 3.5mm jacks to connect to the computer; a removable/adjustable microphone is a plus, since most of the time I won't be using the microphone. I'll go ahead and throw out a price limit of $200; but that's not really set in stone, it's just mainly to stop people from recommending a $20 headset that is junk, but cheap. I'm looking for quality and I'm willing to pay for it, and I'm hoping that someone has some good suggestions.
