So here I am, sitting in jeuno rather bored waiting for some friends to come online. I have unlocked summoner, as well as gotten all avatars aside from fenrir the old fashioned way. So i say to myself... Hmm my summoning magic is terrible i'll pop into sauromog and try to cap it. I'm lvl 8smn/whm standing in the far corner of the gate, well out of aggro range if anyone happens to zone a train. I was not anon, but all i had on me was my fishing gear lol. So i stand there. Ramuh, release, Shiva, release, Garuda, release.... etc etc etc. i ran out of mana and healed. I was talking to a few friends via tell when i notice some smacktard dragoon maybe 30ish i dunno he was anon. He runs past me and examines me. I'm like...meh whatever. Stand up and continue summoning and healing. About 2mins later this smacktard (i dont actually remember his name) comes running at me with a gob on his ass. He runs in a circle around me twice with this gob casting Diaga and other nasties on him, i immediately stand up (was resting) say "I'm not a bot you tard." And run into Port Jeuno as he dies horribly where i was just standing.

He tries to /tell me a minute later 'oh i just wanted you to help me' :roll:

I'm like wtf... the Jeuno zone was FIVE FEET AWAY. the gob hadnt been touched it was at most decent challenge to him, he had EXAMINED me and knew i was lvl 8 plus i was healing and had NO MANA.

So you loserbitches who think training to a 'bot' is cool need to get off your high horse and notice that maybe, just MAYBE that person is uh... just doing something boring and repetitive to kill time/talk to friends.

OMG A BOT IS TRYING TO GET THEIR SUMMONING SKILLS UP!!! That's stupid. Very stupid. I mean, if someone was botting their SMN skills, why does it matter? It doesn't hurt the other players at all.

1. no NM's at that area, for a bot,
2. Goblin DC ARE A PAIN,
3. I'm shure the guy had no idea that you were low level, and didnt want to bother with stopping to get attack to check you or /sea <t>

So wtf, bot? How the heck do you come off saying that to some guy who's trying to get some help, jesus christ.

The zone was five feet away and HE EXAMINED ME. He knew what i was, i was NOT anon. he didnt ask me for a raise or anything afterwards either. Someone examines you, runs off gets a gob then literally runs around you with an aggro mob and a zone five feet away.... i think they are at least attempting to MPK. He hadnt tried to attack the mob, it was at full health. He didnt ask me for help, he never said 'help' in say or in tell, he was deliberately trying to kill me. Call me crazy but I wont change my mind that was what he was doing.

Her cures would have done about 25 HP, maybe less, with an effective level of 4WHM. He examined her and knew her level. The zone was 5 feet away.

It doesn't get much more obvious.
 
yea most likely, if the goblins were DC like she said they would only hit the guy for like 30-40 damage depends on his armor, so it could help him a bit,

Yeah, all three cures she could get off.

Come on. Face facts; he wasn't looking for help. The zone was right bloody there. And there's the fact that he wasn't actually fighting the damn thing anyway.

Oh well. Some people just don't get it, I guess.
 
Someone tried to do this to me actually. So I'm sitting parallel to my computer and I start hearing myself getting hit by what sounds to be 10 different things (dodging most of them) while I'm healing MP from skilling up.

I don't know who done it but someone was training shit on me so alls I have to do is stand up, bring out Ramuh, Thunderspark. GG

If I saw who did it maybe I'd know who is going out of their way to "prove" something here ;/

Also that's what y'call an MPK. You can get banned for it if you keep it up.

How? She got accused of using a skill-up bot, and is bitching about it here on the Flameboard. That's kind of what this place is for, you know?
 
Krono it's because people like this are playing bot police constantly and it gets annoying when ever noob takes it upon himself to be like BOT OMG I WEEL SAVE THA DAY!! only to find out they were wrong and probably get themselves blisted by yet another honest player.

In the case of fishing I got so many tells (not just from friends but from random "bot police") that I just didn't care anymore and ignored most of everyone who /tell'ed me while I fished. I actually did have a GM message me twice and I responded telling them whoever it is was harassing me... so I hope they learned to stop that shit.
 
This dude is a lvl 30 drg, he should have "some" experience and he should also know the zone was 5 feet away. This was either him attempting to kill a lower lvl player like some assholes i see in valkumr dunes, garlaige citadel, and kazham, or he was trying some vigilante "justice" on what he thought was a bot. The guy was wrong, period. And if he was just waiting for her to help then he definitely deserved to be killed.
 
I love how people want to do vigilante justice. Thing is:

1) The zone is JUST five steps away according to the story.
2) Why are you expecting a level 8 smn, effectively a level 4 whm who probably is not going to cure for the full 30 on a cure 1 to help you? Do you expect a little kid to help you when a biker is kicking your ass? I think not.
3) At the higher levels, you KNOW how to zone so just zone and take the whole 36 exp, or 72 exp loss instead of risking a 10% loss.

So obviously, unless the guy has the IQ of a wijnruit, he was purposely trying to kill her. The fact is, he may have needed help, but do your shout that you're five steps from zoning and see how much sympathy you get from ANY healers. I know I'd heal the person if I was THERE...but I doubt I'd trek all the way over to help a person who could just zone anyways.

If you believe otherwise, I have to question your intelligence, and I can throw you in the basket of people who ENJOY "reality TV". Not a place you want to be.
