I'm posting this from my PSP!

Nope its free (no extra charge at least, youve gotta have a connection to connect to)

I like DS as well, my brother has one.

-Ham

PSP is nice, if you can justify throwing $250 on it..

And already don't have an MP3 Player, PDA or Laptop, or DVD Player.

I was gonna get one for some SNES emulation, until I found out I can do that on my DS, and not have to worry about updated firmware, meaning I could also get DS games without hurting the ROMs.

The homebrew stuff is the only reason I haven't upgraded my PSP firmware. I've been playing Final Fantasy IV on it, which is kinda silly considering I own the PS1 version with the better translation.

I'll upgrade at some point. I tend to watch videos on my PSP more than I play games on it.

Whoa, huh? You can get SNES emulation on the PSP/DS??

Can someone please explain more on this? I have a nintendo DS and would LOVE to get an SNES emulator on it!

sorry, not on the DS, unless you can make a game card that you can actually use... if you can, then you really are a tech god.
but, if you have a PSP, its as simple as going online and DL'ing the roms and the rom player, connecting your memory card to your computer, putting the files on the memory card, and put the card back in. pretty simple, and worth it, because there arent any games on the PSP worth spending money on :o burn...

i duno, i like NFS rivals, MidnightClub3, and the Dynasty warriors.

I'm just waitin for a RPG to come out.. preferably from Square..

Final Fantasy Tactics 3 <Can i have it?>

Hi there! If you really wanna run emu's on your psp, then you need to do a couple of things: Buy the USB cable for the psp-to-pc connection, and a VERY FAT memory stick duo card; and you do not need to install the drivers if you're up to date on your windows updates. Also, make sure to check your psp's firmware and see if it's version 1.50, and if it's higher than that number, you're out of luck! Luckily for those of you who have unintentionally updated your firmware to 1.51, there's software that can down grade it back to 1.50; I think one of them is "Sei PSP Tool" Now, I'm using a 512MB card, so, I can stuff a good amount of games in mine. Just know that the larger your card is, the more games you can upload to it. Okay, you'll need a program named "Kxploit" to help translate & upload the Eboot.pbp file, which is the emulator, to your psp. It doesn't matter which folder you decided to keep the roms in, you can tell the emulator where the folder's at. Here's something that I want to warn you all about: if you're only intention for having a psp is to play emulators, then DO NOT play any newer UMDs that are psp movies or games. What happens when you play these newer UMDs is that they'll try to automatically update the psp's firmware, and you don't want that to happen.

So why does the updated firmware prevent the emulation? Did Sony see this happening and move to prevent it?
