I disagree... WSM didn't take a cheap shot, he just said it was a lie. I think your overreacting. Even you admit that this story is sketchy, and that if she wasn't in your ls, you wouldn't buy the story, so why flip out when someone does exactly what you said you would do? It's does sound fishy, so WSM is not out of line with not buying it.
 
I'm not saying she's not telling the truth, and no offence to any of her "character witnesses" But just because somebody you met on the INTERNET told you something weeks or months ago, doesn't mean its not a lie. People lie about shit all the time when theres no way to confirm it one way or the other.

Also, just because they told you before anybody else, and you trust them, and they have no reason to lie to you, doesn't mean you aren't being lied to, it just means you might have been set up to vouch for a liar if they ever need a character witness.

Again, I'm not saying anybody is or isn't making shit up here, I'm just saying the fact that you think you really know somebody you met over the internet doesn't mean shit, other than that you're far too trusting.

you automatically assume just cause i may have met her over a game doesnt mean i've never had any RL contact with them. i've had several phone and web cam conversations with people in my LS, and i know what's truth and what's a lie. Your a dumb ass to make that assumption, not me,

I'll be another character witness. LS has been around a year and a half, Marael joined about 2 weeks after it was created. 90% of the LS knows she has epilepsy... again why would she lie for a year and a half? That doesn't make sense. And she's not mentioning it a lot, we just all knew because she mentioned it sometimes. Mar has been going through a lot lately, and she was asking rather strangely even in the ls (I even got a tell once saying "Is Marael acting off to you?"). It's been over a year, I know how she is, you can usually tell how people are even on the internet if it's been over a year. She was acting out of character lately and she needed help.
I know none of you really know her, so you don't really understand, but she is going through a serious thing. And she is apologizing, so thats something right?
 
Testimonials don't hurt, but it's not like I'm making any forementioned judgements anyway. Just remember, by posting it they left it open to the belief/disbelief of the people here. That's how the internet is.

The internet has a lot of idiots like WSM.
 
Exactly Anderithe. I dunno, seems way to easy. But I'll accept it, cause I'm a trusting soul, and there are some people to vouch for ya.... But what gets me is that you endured 3 months of seizures before you got help...

So I'm sorry your not doing well, but try and take better care of yourself.
 
Its funny.First she made the post about this drk kicking her cuz she was a dragoon.And made the drk look totally evil.Guess what? that drk doesn't exist and it was a big fat lie.She just wanted to prove her drg did 5 times the dmg of that drk.Then her other post about gil sellers calling for help and Gms 6 times was also a big ass fucking lie.Now she comes out and says she has eplipisy (won't bother checking the spelling).And i know if i did my research that disease doesn't make a person go on the internet put his damn password in and starts making up stuff that he/she wants people to belive.

Sadly, that's also probably why FFXI has degreaded so badly - asides from several people having some kindof infection growing off what they call their ego, people simply don't trust people enough..and while in some cases they have a right, what about now?
I personally believe her. I don't have a reason not to. And if you don't believe her, I ask - How would you feel if they completely proved you wrong? Wouldn't you feel sortof bad for making all these horrible accusations and crap on someone that has a very serious and dangerous problem?

My dad became paralyzed, C7 in his spinal cord, from two grand mal seizures. I was born with a heart murmur, it's still not gone away. I have anemia. I have chronic bronchuolitis(sp?) that is a rough equivilent of Bronchitis. It acts up especially bad in the winter, and if I really overexhert myself, I may cough up blood or even pass out (I've been called a Hyatt ripoff so many times it's not even funny..).

Wanna believe me? Good. Don't want to? Fine. I can't prove any of that (asides me possibly trailing off during a party, sorry to anyone who's wondered about my magic "AFK"s..) is true because I'm not gonna go foot $300 for a re-evaluation of my health to post online (which is illegal ANYWAYS), but case and point - some people may suffer from things, and it may not just be an excuse.

Not the exact quoting, but isn't it something like "It's better to believe and be called an ass, than to doubt and be called a dick"? Yeah.. =P
 
And sorry to doublepost, but I hafto add in - I also posted about my health in the "better than you" reality-thread. This is the very reason I can't got bars and crap, because hanging around areas with excessive smoke and stuff would be extremely dangerous for me.

But I'm sure you might just see that as "an escuse", right? -_-

I am also in the same LS as Marael. The girl's going through alot.

I just have trouble understanding why anyone really feels the need to attack her by calling her a liar. While I believe with all my heart she's not lying, there is no need to go out of your way and accuse her of it. Let it go, she was letting the people she cared about know what was going on.

If you don't know her personally, don't pass judgement on her please. Atleast respect her friends enough to do that.

I'm with you Mish, I believe you because you've not given me any indication that I shouldn't. Same with Marael. I, for one, only hope you can return to FFXI and enjoy yourself. I hope there aren't too many people that harass you. :(
 
Unlike you i post what i belive.And i belive she's bullshitting and its obvious.But ahh i guess u guys are like so into this little world that u won't really see the whole picture. :lol: but yeh if she has so many problems she shouldn't be posting on this forum or partying iwth ppl since she is {danger} right? Someone who doesn't know whats goin on is worse than a 3 year old playing FFXI
 
And yeh if someone is nice does NOT mean he won't lie.I mean take micheal jackson as an expample... he was a hero a few years ago and know we know he'd been rapin kids the whole time.

Yo dude Mar's a cool girl, aside from me pissing her off back in the day she's good at what she does, and I've known her and the rest of the LS for a while. I don't see any reason whatsoever to doubt her word, or think she'd lie to me or any of us.

In a situation where no one who doubts has anything but speculation to fall back on, the friend defense is definitely appropriate.

Mar, I hope you get some help for yourself - I'm very sorry you're having such a hard time with your health :( I know how hard that can be. Where there's a will there's a way - pull through!
