you cant tell me you didnt see it coming the rng cannon partys the other dd being left out party for a rng because they do more dmg it was bound to happen sooner or later. yes this mean there now area rng wont be able to exp like capt ter and must the other close area battle zone, but this open a window for other dd like drk, mnk, drg, and sam to pick up the slack. yes you not going to see any rngs say this is a good thing just as you didnt see any drg say it was a good thing. the one that really get fubar is the thf/rng because they need to be close range to sata. then agian i guess they could run back in between special attacks.

Back to the Main point, This nerf does suck yes it does and I am in part a RNG as I use alot of rng att with my sam sub rng it got me mad but I am now over it cause I still take it for what this thing is which is a game. things go ur way and then they don't we get over it or in phear's case we bitch... I rather get over it and BTW nerf is not too pad hit a a kuftal crab with an Ice arrow for 70+ dmg with addition dmg like 4 or 5 I will still sub rng for my sam till I get sidewinder and I am sure I will do 500+ dmg easy. if not off to a mage job. XD

Pick another job? ; I agree with Matt too. It's one thing to be pissed, but wow, calm down. If they nerfed BSTs by taking off 70% of my exp gained even AFTER releasing a pet...well /shrug. Such is life. There's an ESRB notice that says gameplay will change.

I keep reading "SE fucked me up the ass" and the like. Basically, people keep going on how SE is victimizing them with this new update.

Quite frankly, you fucked yourself in the ass if you think you are being made a victim. Why is this? Its pretty simple really.

FFXI is a game where there is always the possibility that a change in the way the game works can be changed, its a game where your means of making money can always become no longer profitable due to patches, overcompetition, market flooding. Your job can be in less demand due to negative nerfs to your job or positive nerfs to other jobs. Its just a fact, its something you deal with, and if you dont like it: if you arent able to enjoy the game if it doesnt stay completely static, just quit. I dont care who you are, I dont care if you are lvl 75 and well respected, then quit. Let me explain.

This coming from a 49 thief? Sure im only 52, but considering you have yet to xp over half that the 70+ rangers have, You cant say anything really. These rangers spent time working their asses off spending millions of gil to BE a high damage/demand class. It isnt free to become a powerful ranger. (However it is much cheaper for a class like ours Thief. We dont pay for SATA we get it for free.) In truth all those MONTHS Of nonstop farming and xping and questing for Sky access for those rangers are now down the shitter. Many have to start from scratch (job wise).

First off, as far as gil making goes: FFXI is a fairly laissez-faire system ( minus taxes i guess), this means it is a pure capitalist system. In a capitalist market things are always in flux, but corporations that are most succesful are going to be able to deal with that flux. Ie BP puts alot of research and money into alternate fuels in order to create a greater market for it and to be able to be flexible to a possible change in the fuel market, fuel corporations that put all their money into the status quo of fuel count on the fact that the status quo will be maintained and put alot of money into keeping it that way. Basically, in a changing market if you only have one way of making money (PCC, LL, VE, Stroper) and that changes, which is always possible, you fucked yourself in the ass. If you were a corporation youd tank because you dont know how to be diverse. The market changed, be able to adapt or find a way to now or just quit.

Ok to start, this is a game. I can see how you are trying to relate it to real life and the business world, however Its a game. Stop thinking its real life and that real life rules will apply. They wont. People play it for fun, and those who play it professionally are gilsellers. I actually agree with the part where you said the market is always changing. Indeed it is, and yes you should learn to adapt or just quit.

Secondly, for jobs: I play a thief, what do i like most in a party - a good ranger, so dont think this is coming from a whiny melee. Once again a job can always be nerfed, its dynamic can always be changed. Does it suck for you? Yes its frustrating, you can go ahead and complain some at first, thats only natural, but the "I'm a victim of SE!" crap is just wrong. If you dont find enjoyment in any other job, or any other dynamic, thats alright, its all about preference. But here is why you are not being fucked in the ass by SE: online game experience may change, this isnt a static game and you know it, it is entirely in SE's power to change the game, not yours, whats fucking you in the ass is your dissapointment that you cant do it how you want or wish it still was which is entirely unrealistic. So if it is no longer up to your expectation and therefore not fun then quit because you are wasting your time, and i dont mean that negatively. You are no piteous victim being oppressed by the evil distant SE, you just are frustrated that things change in a way that doesnt benefit you and you dont know what to do now.

See again you have no right to say anything. Like myself, your class wasnt affected. ANd actually in a way it IS in our power to change this game. Why else do you think RNG got nerfed? Cuz SE analyzed it completely and realized it was? :roll: NO! WE (meaning the FFXI community) told them. IF no one has said RNG was overpowered, SE probably woulda held back this update for long time. However they listened to the melees who complained "OMFG RNG IS TOO POWERFUL I GET NO INVITES!" and shot RNG with a huge nerf arrow.
Again i agree with part of your statement. People are really frustrated at this point and its 100% understandable.

SE makes a game because obviously thats the employees passion and to make money. They are going to try and make the game appealing to the most people, its that simple. They arent breaking any of laws and stealing your life savings, your no victim of them.
