Impossible (Byakko Solo)

Re: Impossible

Your squiggly speak means nothing to me.

Try reloading the page, or if you use noscript, allow zoome.jp

byakko solo wat

Well, we knew it'd only be a matter of time once the cap started going up.

This, only a matter of time.
I think one of the next update we'll get to hear the first stories of Wyrm solos.

I feel like the wyrms would have too much regen for solo. Anything with big amount of regen would be difficult to solo even if you are level 99.

Not really, eventually people figured out how to solo Yovra at 75.
The NQ, I give you that, but they were solo'd and they have a massive regen as well.

I figure around level 95~99, it will start happening.
Tiamat may not, but moreso because of the competition and the boots still being pretty wanted.

The others however...

What about Absolute Terror? I can see it being possible if the level difference shortens the length of it. Otherwise... x_x

Ye non-believers!! (Not saying I'm the one that will do it though.)

Even though Wyrms have Draw in, you can kite them within a certain radius, hence move out of range of most of their TP moves.
Around level 95~99 all mobs around most Wyrms should con lower EP~Too weak which also rules out the factor: Agro.
Unless SE changes something in the mob's levels, which I don't expect them to do.

That + BLMS able to convert and most likely refresh themselves + new spells...

RDM got screwed in the last update, QQ, etc.

When you can do things like this, you have no right to complain. Ever.

far as i'm concerned the real red mages never complained lol

Gimmicks are hardly compensation, IMO.

It's not as if this is a reliable solo, nor one that many RDMs could accomplish under the best-case scenario.

I eagerly await the day that RDMs will bore entire servers to death.

I strongly disagree. His gear choices and play style have been mimicked to death, the only unique piece of gear he uses is the Ice accuracy Magian staff.

It always seems that way when he does it first. He's made the impossible seem possible. Seiryu and Suzaku come to mind, both which many people have done after (or maybe even before him.)

Cactrot Rapido comes to mind especially. A lot of people tried to mimic that fight and grew bored of it. They made careful and specific adjustments based upon Avesta. Instead of only using Poison, others gained so much confidence, they would use Bio a number of times to speed up the fight, or even have a good melee set for Ceremonial Enspells. The most intriguing to me, is a particular RDMs use of equipment, none that most even think of. Even Avesta hasn't done this. Subtle Blow, which allowed the RDM to nuke Rapido from 60% without using a single TP move. Despite its name, Subtle Blow also reduces the TP given to enemies from damaging spells.

All of Avesta's "impressive" videos have been recreated or adjusted. People realized Suzaku is a joke to straight tank, with or without a reliable Slow II. Seiryu will continue to be just as hard as the cat, if not more difficult due to natural Regain. What is the difference between Seiryu and Byakko? Seiryu has TP Regain and is IMMUNE to Gravity. Byakko is neither. Obviously there are people who have Suzy and Seiryu under their belt, one of which is on our server.

Furthermore, if you say RDM soloing is boring...Haste and Refresh cycles are exciting for you? Okay, got it. Thanks. No more Haste for you!
