Alright, so I am taking a couple classes this semester, and I am standing in line at the campus coffee shop with some co-workers (I work on campus as well) and bitch about all the fees students have to pay these days, such as the $35 student government fee per semester. My point being that students get nothing for the $35 they pay.
The guy in front of me turns around and is like "well actually the student government fee pays for the student newspaper and student run radio station", and I am like "yeah, whatever, no one listens to the radio anyway, and the newspaper is cool but besides that the student government sucks".
Well to make a long story short, I was asked to come up with things that student should get for their money. All of a sudden it became clear that it was easier to just bitch about that they don't do anything than to come with something useful they should be spending the money on.
So, if you are in college, and you are happy with what your student government does for you, send me a link to their web page please, I could use some ideas. I am just too disconnected from real student life (as in being young, living in dorms, etc), to know what students really want. For all I care I'd rather not pay the fee and just be done with it.
