Recently I've come to the realization that incense is awesome. Yes it may be cliche for all the stoners and hippies to burn incense, but I now realize why it's so popular with them. It's like good food for your nose. You know how when you get the munchies and you eat something really good it's like a treat for your sense of taste? Well incense is a treat for your sense of smell.

I was wondering how many other people here on qcdn burn incense and if you guys could recommend some good smells? Personally I'm liking dragon's blood alot.

I love my incense. I burn it even now and again, but its always a pleasant experience.

The one I have now is called Morning Star.

One of my favorites though, was called Fizzy Pop. It created the same sensation as sticking your nose into Sprite, it was pretty nuts. Unfortunately the second batch I bought on a trip up to VT turned out to be insanely overpowering and I had to throw it out. =/

I use sticks. The cones never seem to stay lit. It's probably just the type I'm using, which is made by the same people that make the sticks I use.

I get it from the head shop. It's only 10 cents a stick, and they have over 100 different kinds to choose from. It's hand dipped, made by some local hippies. I don't get a chance to burn it very often anymore as my current roomates have sinus problems.

Dragons Blood ftw man. Cones though, I have a neat little incense burner that is made especially for cones. The trick is not too much oxygen but not too little. You almost have to burn them in a made-for-cones incense burner.

Edit- 200th Post ftl

I like cones but sticks are useful as well.

I have a nice piece of agate I burn the cones on, just tip it a little to the side and tap the cone as it burns and get the ash off. It'll stay burning.

Dragons Blood is good.
Sandalwood
Lavender
Moon

im not a stoner but i do burn incense often, ill have to say dragon's blood ftw

black sex and sandalwood

Sandalwood all the way.

There's a brand some places in Camden Market import called Nag Champa which is really nice, but I can't quite make out what the scent is as I can't read Arabic, lol.

I always giggle at the write up on the package.

"ONLY BURN GENUINE ARTICLE."

That's what I use and I love it. The Nag Champa.

I like cones better than sticks because the ash is more contained, it sits there in a pile until you move it, unlike sticks whose ash falls off and if you don't have an incense burner to catch it, it makes a mess. With cones you can burn it pretty much anywhere. I buy mine at the music store/headshop too, homemade stuff for like 10-15 cents a piece, and they always burn very nicely.

Sticks .... i always use it every time
the Sticks called "hael" but i dont think you will find it outside saudi

Incense is great ^^. I use only natural incense in the form of raw herbs such as sage, sweetgrass, rose and frankincense, rather then commercially prepares incenses, which may be chemically made or held together with dung.

You can purchase these from magick shops and Afro-Spanish botanicas.

Just an FYI on some incense and oils that are my favorites:

Amber – for clarity and love
Angelica – purification and dissolve negativity
Basil – love, wealth, astral protection
Bayberry – protection, psychic powers, healing, purification
Blue Vervain – attracts love, quiets nerves, creativity
Dragon’s blood – strengthening, healing
Frankincense – purification, protection, exorcism, power, spiritual opener
Lavender – peace, love, money
Patchouli – money, fertility, lust, love
Rosemary – purification, protection, love, lust, mental powers, healing, sleep, prophetic dreams, fidelity

Incenses are made of natural loose herbs simply by sprinkling on a lighted charcoal block, in an incense burner, or other fireproof container.
