Inconsideration or Stupidity?

Categorize under: Grogan

I run around in some really stupid gear sometimes. I have /say filtered for a reason. Nothing good is ever communicated that way.

He's probably a gilbuyer who went and bought all the +1 of every type of DD gear possible, lol.

And yeah, its one thing to have some nice equipment, but i'd rather have someone who can play their job well then someone who can't. For example, you can have red mage who has all this great MP+ gear, all this int + gear etc, and he can just be sitting in the back ONLY casting refresh.... and therefore sitting at full mp the entire battle.

People become too obsessed with one extra stat in this game, and while it is good if you have the gil, most people playing their first job through don't have the millions to go spend on it (ridiculous how for how on some items, you're paying 1 mil + just for one extra stat ~_~).

And judging from his comment, he's oblivious to the equip change macros that take place in party, and he probabably only has one set of equip... so as everyone else has said, he's a noob. Plain and simple.

PoL Search, RG Collar and STR+

Kat and Rones:
As for the PoL search, that was the first thing I tried before I logged off. (Probably should have mentioned that.) I had the same results as Rones did.
Though, to what I've seen when playing around with the PoL search, it's affected by the privacy settings (as Rones mentioned), but also if the person is online or not.
I haven't been able to pull up anyone who is offline unless I'm looking at their profile through my friends list.
I tried it recently with Shonji and Isanien, two friends who I know have a public profile, but were both offline. No results were pulled up for them.
However, I viewed their profile through the friends list.

Thus, between the privacy and the online factors, the PoL search is limited and comes down to luck. Thanks for the suggestion though Kat, it’s a good idea.

By the way Rones, with the Quantum Coupled Architecture, good god damn. I was able to read it and understand what was there and how the thing works, but I couldn't explain any of the details on it. The alternative part seems like an evolution of the "Spintronics" technology they were trying to implement into CPUs though.
I have a friend in Aerospace Engineering who I'll send that to, he'll be interested in something like that.
We may not see that technology implemented for a while though, since it's within the NP set of algorithms for simulation. I should probably clarify for non-computer people: that means that there isn't a "good" solution found as yet, nor is there proof that one exists. (Good meaning a simulation that won't take years to compile and execute.)

Anyways, I've almost derailed my own thread with the idea of computers stuff.

Malchiah, that's a pretty good idea actually. The bazaar comment warning people so that they don't try to pull this.
I'll consider using it (but I'll give you credit for it, so it's not stealing).

Xean and Big were more on the equipment side of things, probably because they know that I try harder than Shmule was determined to make me look.
Especially Xean, who's complained about my equip change macros messing up his targeting for cures...lol.

Personally, I use the Collar over the Gorget. Lose 1 Accuracy (which I make up for by using Sole Sushi anyways) and gain 4 Attack.
Seems like a good deal to me.

As for the "sell the Snipers" part, I'd really like to know what they were smoking when they said that.
In any case, I have Acc+ gear on one macro, and STR+ gear on another macro (which includes the STR+ rings), so I get the best of both worlds. (Pre-Hauby it was obvious since my macros included switching between the Master’s Gi and the Royal Knight’s Chainmail.)
Once again, a brash judgment on Shmule's part.

Lol Zer. I can take a wild guess at who you were talking about with the RDM example, but let’s not turn this into another flame.

Anyways, yeah, since I’ve blisted them, I’m on the side of ignoring it.
However, it would be interesting to see who they are. I’m putting my money on they have SAM unlocked and maybe, at most, level 30.
That’s what would be interesting to see, if they can “walk the walk”.
Ah…the problems with anonymity.

Yeah, I know. I'd try to Haste or Regen II you, and sometimes it would happen right at the moment of cast, that it casts on me. XD So I have to move or kneel to stop cast. And I highly agree with you on the Collar. ONE more accuracy does not benefit you that much as +4 attack. But hey, as I have already said before, you can just switch equip when you pull, then back for when you melee. And yeah, you do have those equip change macros. So, Shmule = idiot.

Sounds like someone has a case of the "Mondays"!
