Installation Error 1610

Hello All,

maybe someone can help ! I want to install FFXI on my Laptop ( Windows Vista ) and i get a message ....ERROR 1610 Please call your Support etc. Someone has a idea ? Registry is already cleaned ^^.

You need to download and install this version of the Playonline viewer before installing FFXI.
When I tried to install ffxi on Vista I didn't follow this order either and having to do all the disks over is no fun.
I hope this helps.

If you play the EU version like me download this one.

ok ! i deinstalled all ! After installing the EU POL for Vista and trying to install the game i still got that message ... i dont know what to do now ... please help me out ! thank you

Could you post what kind of laptop you have?

i think the laptop isnt the problem ! before i checked that you need a special EU POL version for VISTA i installed the normal POL and after that all the cd's ! here the installation worked. but now .... i receive that error !
