Post your experiences with our new ws here, for those who have it.

I haven't really had a chance to try it out very much yet. But I'm kinda ticked off about the animation. Its the first hit of guillotine combined with cross reaper followed up by a spiral hell.

I guess its kinda cool but I would've been happy with new type of swings.

Also really happy that we have a new guillotine like ws where the amount of TP doesnt affect how long the silence lasts, but how much damage it does. Not to mention it can make light SC too!

Yeh, I have read a bit about this, dont have it myself, but is now my number 1 priority. Seems like it may replace Guillotine all together, not to mention, make drks built around scythes toss thier great swords.

Waiting anxiously for more results.

Also forgot to mention, the main modifiers for this -seem- to be STR and INT. Which is much better for drks compared to guillotine which is STR and MND.

And upon further look, using it over and over on TW mobs, while the animation is copied from other weapon skills, the special effects look really cool :D

But, Subduer blows most scythes out of the water.

It's too bad it can't crit.

Drks never going to get crit loving lol

Especially where Tarutaru are concerned... As soon as I get a Nyzul team, this becomes priority #1 for me.

What exactly is required to get this new weaponskill? Do I actually have to get the weapon first in order to start the quest (the first stage, i guess you would call it)?

If so.. bleh, I've done nothing with ToAU except a few missions and some besiege.

Yeah need weapon. Then you need ws points based on your nyzul disc floor. Anywhere from 250 to 5000.

*sigh* Great, another ws I won't be getting anytime soon.

One correction here, this is only better for Taru Drks (and probably Mithra Drks too), as an Elvaan Drk my Mnd is 23 points higher than my Int. >_>;

Edit: I take all that back.. my dumbass just forgot that I changed to Pld.. So, I dont remember what my Int stats were on Drk.

Its probably better for everyone but elvaans..

Drk mnd is low <_<

I edited my post.. ahem.. I um, overlooked an important aspect when I checked my stats before making that post.. <_<;;

Edit: Changed back to Drk to see stats. With normal gear Int: 59+6, Mnd: 58-4. Not too much of a difference in base stats for us Elvaan in the head department.

Its the drk boosting your int and getting lowered by the fact that you're lowest in it. And elvaan boosting your mnd and getting lowered by you being a drk.

I have 76~ int and like 50~ mnd.

Was testing Insurgency out in Einherjar tier 3 today. It wasn't completely consistent but I was drawing better numbers in general than I do with guillotine. On the low end it would match guillotine, and on the high end do a lot more.

So what's the deal with this??? From the experience I've been having with it, it's basically a cool looking, Guillotine -1.... The only reason I can see using this is so I can make a light skillchain with a scythe. So is that it in a nutshell? Am I missing something else?

It has random spike damage the cause of which no one has been able to figure out. If it was predictable it could be good.

And personally I've had it do more than guillotine on mobs with high defense.

Guillotine is stronger, if you exclude the freak high damage Insurgencies. Guillotine's mods are 25% STR 25% MND and first hit fTP is 0.875. While Insurgency is only 20% STR 20% INT and first hit 0.5 fTP at 100% TP. If you want to figure out how much DMG your mods add to each hit at lv75 for each WS, just plug in your numbers into:

Guillotine: int(int(0.25STR + 0.25MND)0.83)
Insurgency: int(int(0.2STR + 0.2INT)0.83)

An example for Guillotine could be (with some arbitrary numbers; 130STR 60MND):
0.25(130) + 0.25(60) = 47.5
int(47.5) = 47
47(0.83) = 39.01
int(39.01) = 39 DMG
