Can't wait to see this one. Horror movies give me the goosebumps in a good way...

I'm surprisingly morbid for how cheerful I can be, my favorite authors are Stephen King and Edgar Allen Poe. Heh.
 
The Grudge doesn't seem like it would be too good. Although I can't wait to watch "Saw" this weekend.

Oh and Stephen King is awsome. I'm trying to finish off the Gunslinger series.

I've got the exact opposite feelign about the movies. The Grudge looks fricken sweet, while "Saw" looks like a crappy attempt.

Go figure eh?

(Although I'm sure I'd enjoy The Grudge all the more if Sarah Michelle Geller wasn't in it. >_< Stupid stupid (/em censors self so the post doesn't end up on the flame board for language)

I thought she'd ruin the movie to but frankly everyone else more than made up for her.

It was a scary damn movie :twisted:
 
Well I have this whole hatred for the Japanese movie remakes that Hollywood are doing. I enjoyed Ringu much more than The Ring and I enjoyed the japanese version of The Grudge. I think that it is my particular nature that makes me less than interested in seeing it. I always end up picking the remake apart.

Although who knows. Maybe I'll give it a go if I can find a woman to cling to me. :twisted:

The movie was a remake of a Japanese Cult classic JU-ON: The Grudge. The NA version retained the same director and some actors as well. I saw the trailer of the JP version a while back and was immediately interested. I gave it a shot over the weekend and still get the heebeegeebees thinkin about it. Storyline is good... special effects are low to nonexistant... but freakiness is YEY! Bring a date with you and I guarantee she'll be digging her head into your shoulder hehehe. :wink:
 
welp, i haven't been given a reason to go to the movies in a while, but this seems to be a movie that just might in fact force me to pay the 6$ entry fee into the crappy movie theatre we have here XD

I liked the Japanese version of Ringu better as well, (I own than one, and not the American remake), but I'd really like to see The Grudge, I'm sure I'll eventually see Ju-on as well, but, I need to find a copy with english subtitles ^^;

I think I only got scared ONCE and that was when i wasnt even paying attention to the movie. Me and my friends were laughing most of the time. So crappy ; ; Watch it guys, just dont except a heart stopper
 
The only nightmare i've had (or at least can remember having in the last 5+ years) came after seeing a commercial & then checking out their website right before bed. :shock: I actually woke my husband *trying* to scream. For some reason I'm always unable to scream in my dreams :?
