Now you can use Opera and surf the web on your Wii. Right now it's a trial, and it says some features are locked until the final version.

To download, go to the Shop Channel, then Wii Ware, and download from there. I'm going to play a little on it right now.

lol Wii posting!!!

Edit: Now that I'm on a computer, it's a lot easier to type. First thing is typing. It's somewhat annoying, but as you type, it has a list of possible words to select from, so it goes a little quicker that way. Also, I watched some Homestar Runner cartoons on it. Flash works, but after a little while, the sound and video weren't synced anymore. Of course, I'd rather surf on my PC, but it was still kind of fun to mess around with.

For the most part, it's cool. But as I like to say "Having a web browser on a game console is about as pointless as having a hole in my head". If you have internet access to get a console online, chances are you have a computer to use the internet on too.

And now to mock Sony.

Sony: "We feel that the PS3's web browsing capabilities will further the evolution of gaming."
Me: "...Why and how?"

lol, im on the wii browser right now rofl... its pretty cool, and looks like i 'may not' have to use windower anymore...

edit: on the pc now. rofl, its awesome... Although I cant access ffxicyclopedia.com, and I cannot get onto any web messengers, I can, however, get onto newgrounds. Pretty cool.

edit 2: bad news, the current opera browser doesnt have the latest flash player installed. A lot of the games are missing a lot of graphics. But playing games that use the mouse... Yeah, Wii offers a new way to own at high scores.

Ding ding ding!

I like the idea. My computer isn't exactly mobile so when I don't want to get off the couch after dinner for a while and want to find something out, etc., it'll be handy. I think if they can, they should. It's not like it takes away from anything else the system has/will offer, it only adds to it.

I like it because if I'm playing a game on my 360, and I get stuck, I can just switch the TV over to Input 2 and look it up on the Wii.

First we get consoles that turn On and Off from the controller, eliminating useless walking, and now I don't have to walk to my bedroom to look up a code to unlock everyone in Marvel Ultimate Alliance. 2006 truly was our year.

::wipes a single tear from his face::

Just downloaded the browser, haven't tried it yet. Does anyone know if I can use a USB keyboard to type information to the wii rather than type slowly with the interface that's there now.

Can you use it for Porn?!

hah, no wonder. Got it to work earlier. Also, I forgot to add the wiki. in front, but since I looked at my PC's bookmark, I noticed all that.
