Well, all this information about pings and bots and external software is really interesting (even if I can't understand half of it, I am such a computer illeterate).
But on the subject of sonicteam and his crew in Ordelle's cave, my ls and myself spent the whole afternoon there last Saturday. If these gill sellers don't use a program, they are unhumanly fast. We had 14 people there at one point, spread all over the place (well not really, I'll explain later) and managed to get 4-5 claims all afternoon (I got one, woohoo!!! Beat Flagaan to it!).
One thing I realized is SE did not do shit to help Stroper Chyme's camping by regular players. Yes the added spawned points..... bullshit. It still spawns in a regular order between the points:
1) In the big room (up the ledge, so really not that big of an area)
2) Up the stairs, sometime in the tunnels left and right
3) Left of the stairs, at the top (I think it's North) in the tunnels
Someone said there was a 4th point down a cliff, but after the 3rd point I mentionned, they all ran back down to the big room and restarted the cycle. Room, up and left.... I followed them for 3 hours trying to steal Chyme and this is all they were doing! So really, once you know that, you can always know where it will spawn next. And usually, if you run to the next point as soon as it's dead, it will spawn within 5 minutes of your arrival.
Knowing this, sonicteam and his crew just position themselves in such a way that the cover the whole spawning area. Back to back in tunnels, so the are watching every direction without anyone changing the angle of its camera. Then yes, they probably have a 3rd party software just voke constantly. BUT it is beatable.
On the claim I got, the bard that is with them (with war subbed of course), can't remember the name Flagaan or something, was facing me in a tunnel and Stroper spawned right between us. What I did is I had my macro set as /ja "Provoke" <st> then activated it when I was set in position and waiting. I selected Flagaan so I would not select her by mistake (I am on PS2). As soon as Stroper started appearing, I selected it and pressed X to confirm. Saved me from selecting it, pressing L1 to open the macro menu then press X to select a macro, maybe half of a second, but I'm sure it helped.
I have absolutely no experience at NM camping, but I am sure that a team of people experienced with it, knowing the spawn points rotation and organized in positionning themselves could give these guys a run for there money.
Just my 2 cents...
