This is a picture (attached) I took of my son with my cell phone. I sent it to my boyfriend and he believes that the blur on his left is is guardian angel.

He's really into the supernatural (ghosts, haunting, orbs, energies, etc), but I really don't buy into that sort of supernatural. I have to admit this blur freaked me out a bit because I didn't even notice it when I took the picture.

What do you guys think?

[As a note, it's not smoke and he wasn't holding anything when I took the picture.]

That blur looks pretty similar to the blur i've seen in photographs shown on documentaries that focus on the supernatural. I'm not really sure whether I believe it to be anything other than a fluke with the camera, but it'd be interesting if one day scientists can either prove or disprove those kind of blurs.

Def. looks like hes holding a plastic bag or something!

hmm interesting photo, i actually just recently was interviewed to join a paranormal group, and i got in so i'll be doing my first team meeting next week and i can bring up this picture and get our photo specialist to check it out!

Gahhh I had images turned off at work but I was curious to see and didn't expect such a picture. I think a few people are worried about me now and 1 person wanted to call the police..., the PC guys want to take my PC away for examining. Trying to explain to them how I was browsing this forum at lunchtime and someone posted this... should be fine, lol.

Sorry I'll take a look when I get home, he looks very sweet though.

Call the police because you pulled up a picture of a healthy and normal looking baby?

This is a country that QQs over a nipple in an advert... so when I clicked on that due to the way my screen is set the pics looks rather big and was instantly eye catching.

It's fine anyway when I showed my manager what the forum post was about, so it's fine. But the news wasn't good lately so everyone's more alert/aware/paranoid than usual.

Interesting picture, I don't really believe in the paranormal but it's fun to think about. ;)

The people at your work are weird...>.>

Fixed. <.<

And yes, interesting picture. I too somewhat believe in Guardian Angels so I think it's pretty cool if it's in spirit form, but I think they're around in a physical form too (the person which looks after you, NOT parents).

Looks like a movement blur from his hand. That, or some metal scrapings from inside the lens showed up when you took the picture.

I don't believe in anything past the material world so..

EDIT:

I just realized it's from a cell phone. I've been working in cell phone sales for years and years and I've seen this sort of thing before. The phone lenses are notorious for getting dirt and other things in them because of the way we treat our phones as well as the shoddy product.

/facepalm.

Dust.

For all the replies insinuating otherwise, lol - that is all.

Adorable kid.

To me it looks like he's just waving his hands up and down when the picture was taken and that blur is the result of that.

While I personally am a person of faith, I've seen blurs like that before, and they're caused by a tuft of hair really close to the lens.

Down and feathers do the same thing.
