I was watching Inyasha last night and it seemd to me like a final episode.

it was the one where Inuyasha Uses the Shikon Jewel to power up his Tetssiga and Adamant Barages he way out of that big red demons stomach

are there more episodes or was that that last? casue there was no next episode preview or anything. and there was a montage thing at the end instead of the credits

The last episode I ever saw, was in Japanese with english subtitles and I don't recall what happened entirely as its been close to a year since I saw it, but I remember the end credits had a black backround with sketches of the characters outlined in colored pencils. There was a message of sorts, basically saying "Thank you for having watched us etc etc". Basically a thank you from the creators for the support of having been a fan of the series.

I think it was episode 256ish? I could be wrong, i'd have to look it up at home... but aside from that, i'd never heard of any newer episodes... which kinda sucked considering I didn't feel that the episode really resolved all the relationships and everything that happened throughout the series >_<

it's not over, it'll never be over. It's like DBZ or Naruto XD the neverending story!

The creator seems to have a habit of ending their series without much in the way of resolution(Ranma 1/2 definitely, and I heard the same about the other series they made); although it seems very odd to have them end the series on the start of a new story arc. I'd imagine it's just the season finale and that they'll pick it back up in 6 months or something with the next season, especially given Zeralya's account of the last episode because the one that showed last night wasn't anywhere near 256.

I looked it up online, it was the series finale (only 167 episodes). I had heard that the ending would be disappointing and but I didn't realize it meant the show would be left completely unresolved. It looks like the manga is still going though.

I could be wrong on the episode number, that just seems to be the number I have left in my head. I'll check when I get home tonight though, and post it. But yeah, I've heard that the ranma 1/2 series wasn't given a good ending either because there were things left unresolved (haven't seen that series myself yet) so apparently this creator of the series is known for leaving fans disappointed with the final episode >_<

wow i spent all that time back in the day downloading all those episodes to be left like this!?
also gotta remember that NA havent recieved a few of the movies yet, we only got 4 and i believe there are more...pray they do somethin for the story cause if that was the final episode...there was no closure whatsoever...halo 2 much!?

damnit man give resolve the plot, dont just drop the whole show without any kind of deffinative end... He did the same damn thing with Ranma 1/2 and it upsets me as a televison veiwer when you get involved in a show and it just drops the story line and ends.

it would be like if in Starwars the Credits started flying by right after Luke shot the missle thing into the Death star hatch but before the Death star blew up. I would leave a gapping hole in the plot that would casue frustration

yeah claud, very true. Inuyasha is my fave anime', as i dont get into very many.
And i spent the time watching every episode only to see it un resolved with no ending.
Its like i watched every character...fight for nothing.

Well, with the Ranma 1/2 manga, there was more of a conclusion; he didn't officially pick a girl, but the answer was obvious from the last volume(Everyone crashed and ruined his wedding to Akane). I'd assume the same thing happened with the Inuyasha manga, plus with ending the series the way they did, they can make a lot more movies; they're up to at least 4 already. I wish they would have done the same with Ranma 1/2, I loved that series.

i own a couple of the ranma seasons, Great show but lacked movies and a ending... Akane FTW Shampoo = whore + she had Moose, Ryoga+ Ukyo ftw

poor Ryoga would get lost though

I always though Akane was the better pick of the girls

There were two movies, the Seven Lucky Gods and Nihao Concubine. A movie that covered the Musk or the Phoenix arcs would have been nice though, since the Anime never touched on those. Throwing in his mom in the last two episodes sucked, since without her they couldn't do the noisy/silent thief-styles arc with Ryu Kumon. They left a lot of the major arcs out of the anime that actually developed the characters significantly.

I <3 Ranma 1/2.. they need to bring it to Adult Swim uneditted (hell, it's late enough)

I believe they have already said they won't show Ranma because he'll walk around in his girl form without a shirt on. I'd even take a shitty edit to give her an undershirt or a bra or something for them to just show the series. It's already dubbed and everything, I wouldn't imagine there'd be a real problem with it.

But if it was on so late what's the big deal? And ya.. there are times when he wears a rather loose tank top or wife beater kinda shirt.. they could prolly edit that on to many other parts where he's topless.. *shrugs*

Or they could just put a nice 30 second long disclaimer before the show starts like they did with Eureka 7 when the shit got fucking nasty with the violence. Think they started that before the episode where Charles and Ray go apeshit on the Gekko. They haven't removed that dislaimer yet, even though most of the episodes after Ray being owned by Holland haven't been much in the way of action.

I know they could do that and I wish they would, but that's the reason they gave as to why they would not show Ranma 1/2 on adult swim. This was a few years ago, back before Adult Swim became as big as it is now, so maybe they will change their mind.

They better :D Ranma 1/2 is SOOO Funny XD I love the one where Shampoo gets that necklace where if worn one way she'll have greater love for the one she loves and then if worn the other way she'll absolutely hate him XD so funny.. Ranma's line "Has it happened?! HAVE I LOST MY POWER OVER WOMEN!?" so funny XD
