Im thinking of getting a 10Gb 3rd Generation so I can replace my CD Player, anyone have one and can give any review?

What the heck is the deal with that free iPod thing I see all the time?

One of those things you signup and get other people to signup and once you have a certain amount of people under you then you move up in the list. And when your at the top of the list you get a free iPod... its a pyramid scheme of a sorts and huge hassle/waste of time... also potentially a dissapointment if you cant find 8-10 people to signup under your reference.

Unless your talking about the Pepsi promotion right now...

I have an iPOD I bought it for myself as a graduation gift, I gotta say I've never been upset with it. I have a 20gb one, which is waaaay too big. It's really cool having all of your CDs and Mp3s with you at all times.

The battery can get you through a whole day, just charnge it before you go to sleep.

I'd recomend it to anyone who wants a large amount of music with them..

One of the generations had a Battery problem, but I do not recall which one. I assume 3rd generation is the latest, which should have the problem fixed. Other than that, I can’t say much about them. I would shop around though since there are a lot of Digital Music Players out there now.

I think I might just buy the 20Gb 4th Gen retail.. only $299 with Free Shipping.

Good choice ^^

i-i-i-i-iPOD!

I have an Ipod and LOVE IT. It is the greatest thing ever. Simple as that, after one week of an Ipod you will be unable to listen to use a CD player anymore. It is easy to use stores alot and has a good battery life. My only problem is that at night you haev to fumble to light up the screen, you have to activate the backlight from the main menu. Uploading songs is easy and fast so long as you have USB 2 and or firewire. You insert the CD into your PC and Itunes autamaticaly reads the songs. Bad news is that it will nto do this with burnt CDs cause of windows protection crap.

*Pets my iPod* My car has a cassete player, so I have a car adaptor for this baby. It's too damn small though. 15gigs will NOT hold all my music. I'm thinking of upgrading to the 40 when I get my settlement. Well...have the 40 for my J-music, and keep the 15 for all the rest XD

/em has too much music.

Uhh... I have a friend that has like 14 thousand songs and he can almost fit them all on a 40gig... how many songs do you have?

I have a third-generation 40GB iPod, and I'm glad I spent the money. I have my entire music collection on it. I also like it because it's compatible with the Audible audiobook format, and I have a ton of those.

If your car stereo lacks a cassette player for an adapter, you can always buy the FM transmitter for play over your car's radio. I haven't tried it out yet, but I'd like to.

Let me check, this could take a minute.

Mind you, the songs number, doesn't count the ones that haven't been ripped from CD yet...

7,977 files. Plus stuff that hasn't been ripped, and put into order.
