Hey guys, i'm starting to get a little sick of the same music i listen working out over and over. I'm also kind of isolated because of work so i don't really know whats new, everyone post their fav -heavyish- workout songs! :D
No pop plz, some rap is ok.

Queens of the stone age is decent for the gym I find . hmmmmmm Might wanna check out Wolfmother too, lotta good tracks on thier album. Another band I lovvvvvvvvve to listen to when I snowboard/mountain bike/gymin' is The Mars Volta, lotta craaaaaaaazy music on thier albums!

Hmmm digging thru my iPod to find other stuff you might be into...ohhh should look for Death from above 1979. thier music is crazy high energy and gets me pumped

If I'm feeling kind of dorky I'll listen to a Rocky soundtrack, usually from the fourth movie. Otherwise I'll just put my entire library (over 70 hours worth of music) on shuffle. The vast majority of my playlist is Bon Jovi, Saliva, and whatever happens to catch my ear on pop stations (a few old Nelly songs, T.I, etc etc).

I feel any kind of heavy metal is really a sign of someone who doesn't know what they're doing in the gym, but whatever inspires you is what you need, I suppose. I find calming music (and no, I don't mean Enya) with a few somewhat "hard" songs in the mix help you relax while working out. If you haven't heard of Saliva their albums offer a good mixture of the two.

Find a workout partner, though. That's much better than music.

New decent music that I'd recommend would be NoFx-"Wolves In Wolves' Clothing", Bad Religion-"New Maps of Hell" or Propagandhi-"Potemkin City Limits".

For me though, whenever I'm working out or need something to get me motivated, I play any Rage Against the Machine album.

Static-X ACDC Megadeth I haven't tried Dethklok yet Rammstein Slayer Death

These bands normally pump me up when I work out.

Agreed. Industrial is far better.

Disagree, many people are different and you shouldn't make assumptions like that. I work out alone, because i moved to northern canada for work, i don't know anyone so i need something to fuel my ambition. A person could hardly say i don't know how to work out either, because i do full body workouts with 2, 35lb dumbells and outside activites.

Give Dragonforce a listen. Might like it Eor.

You should've just sent me a /t bro...

Lmao. x;

Some of these songs might fit better in a different part of your workout, this is just what works for me. ^^

Tried to omit more pop/rap and such, but if you'd like me to toss it back in, let me know.

Some of the songs listen don't mesh too well with the others, just gotta find what works in your track arrangement.

If you have a hard time finding any of the songs that might interest you, get at me I can help find. *wink*

Just personal experiences. Seeing people who are listening to Heavy Metal going flat out in time to the music and subsequently doing a shit work out.

Deftones and Alice in Chains are good to workout too. Back when I worked out with my dad when I was really heavy into weight lifting, we always worked out to Stevie Ray Van and Bad Company.

Form first.

I've seen morons screw up their workouts listening to any kind of music. They just don't know what they're doing. The music has absolutely nothing to do with it. If metal pumps up your workout, do it. If it's industrial for you, go with that. SRV is just a badass. Pretty much anything would work better than the shit that's pumped through the facility's speakers. I hear that crap and feel like I should be dropping Ex and twirling some glow sticks rather than kicking ass.
