Movie Ironman 2 Trailor

Totally agree.

WARMACHINE!!!!!!!

I'm kind of interested in how Mickey Rourke will play Whiplash (a character I'm not too familar with)

To be honest, I'm kinda surprised they went with Whiplash/Blacklash as a villain this time around... He's never exactly been what one would call a major character in the Iron Man series.

Look good though.

They're including elements of Crimson Dynamo in his design, considering his name is Vanko, and he's the son of the original Crimson Dynamo (Anton Vanko). It should prove to be most pleasing :)

Also, Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer? win.

After reading more about WhipBlacklash, I'm with Raesvelg. I would have thought the powers that be would have IM fight The Mandarin, or even Hydra/AIM.

The Mandarin was the one I was really expecting this time around, given the whole "10 Rings" thing in the first film.

I'm wondering at times if they're not just throwing Whiplash out there as a semi-disposable villain to do trailers with. Seems overly devious though.

Favreau's even stated that he didn't directly want the Mandarin outright early in what he hopes will be a series of films. He's too grandiose a villain to put out there early on. He wants the Mandarin as an underlying force, whose effect can be seen without literally seeing him.

One could argue that Magneto was too grandiose too, but he was incorporated into the X-Men right from the getgo. Granted, he's much more of an in-your-face villian, but still.

The thing with Magneto, though, is his relationship to Charles Xavier. It's established that the two were great friends for a long time, had a falling out, and are now enemies on the sides of extremism and moderately fighting for mutant rights.

Iron Man and Mandarin, though, don't have that kind of back story. Mandarin's just...the bad guy. Who happens to be really good at martial arts, wears ten rings of power, and is a descendant of Genghis Khan.

Victor Von Doom is about as grand as it gets, and even his story translated well to the screen.

You're right. The whole former BFFs thing slipped my mind, hahaha.

Begs the question though; Iron Man 3 = Iron Man vs. War Machine throw-down in downtown?

It happened in the comics :drooling:

What? What does Olivia Munn have to do with Iron Man?

Better yet... what does a gay guy want with Olivia Munn?

Oh, man...The awesome of Robert Downey Jr. knows no bounds.

I'm excited for this film~

Saw it last night.

I want a War Machine armor for Christmas.
