Eeeehhh... I'm more of a fantasy player. I think I'll pass MxO up this time. ^^;;

I've bought pretty much any other online game, so chances are I will buy this one as well. Sadly most all MMOs do not meet my expectations, which is why I have come to expect them to not do it, thus it is much more fun when I actually do stumble across a good one.

Eh.. I have a definate answer of No. From what ive seen of The Matrix Online, it looks like crap to me.

It looks intriquing enough for me to try it out. Especially the part that claimed the players control the story and such. I'm just dreading getting in there and seeing "Neo1" "TehOne" "Ne0" "Tr1n1ty" "Imthe1biatch" and so on and so forth

I want to be an Operator. Not go into the Matrix but jack people in... wonder if you can do that

I remember one of those, what was it called ..., Majestic! From EA Games, first couple episodes were fun, and then it sucked hard.

I only have time for one MMORPG at a time, and right now Im still superaddicted to FFXI.

I'd imagine that the operators would be like GM's. The matrix online kind of sounds like a cool idea, but lets face it, the matrix doesnt really lend itself to an MMORPG. There is only one "the one" and everyone else is basically just an above average person, and the only "real" enemies are too tough for anyone but "the one" to take on (agents). Unless they come up with a way to add more enemies that fit into into the world of the matrix, I doubt I'll be very interested. The thing that bothers me about some MMORPG players is the hotdogging, your character is not all-powerful and not everyone is "the son of the most important family." Thats somewhat why I dont roleplay, (although I would certainly like to) I have the tendency to fall into that trap as well, but old Hammies backstory just hasn't been set in stone yet and I just keep making him more and more average as I learn more about the history.

That of course leads me to my next point... anyone know any roleplaying linkshells I could join?
