Usually companies lose money on systems, make money on games. Its nothing new.

But I think the highest it has sold on ebay is $30,000?

The highest one without any sort of gimmic behind it was about 30k, yeah. And, Nintendo is the only company that makes money on the systems the sell pre-games.
