Is Ranger Worth it/Will it happen

i am trying to take THF to 75 currently THF/NIN

i would also like to have my RNG avalible(sp idc) for campin NM's and SS + Sidewinder and i think Slug Shot not sure if it is useable by THF/RNG i think it is but anyway, my RNG is now lv 10 will i be able to get it to 37 with the nurf? i am also wondering is THF/RNG is a good option is a party

Ranger is completely levelable to 37. The nerf is not that bad.

Thf/rng is viable in xp parties, but you'll get much more use out of /war and /nin. A big problem with thief actually using ranged to do DoT is their average ranged skill. Thief is a close-quarters fighter. You'll waste a lot of time if you go back and forth in a xp party from the ranged sweetspot to your meleeing.

Anyway, taking rng to 37 shouldn't be much more difficult than any other job. Thf/rng is ok for parties, but not for the ranged attacks really. The bonus is therng large +accu you get from sub.

kinda hard tell sarcasm in words :roll:

and the reason /war instead of /nin is because the str bonus lot rng have switch because since they no longer need to weapon to build tp and so as much of masive dmg they use to they really dont need shadows. str help you ws to.

War sub is really only good until 24 then after 60. Ranger needs shadows to pull our eva is horrible. Also at 28 its almost a must to dual wield archers knives. Because mobs start to get alot harder to hit as you progress in levels. As soon as you get your AF body though and rings are giving you 8 ACC a piece War sub is a viable option. Ranger without shadows is very dangerous though. Especially from 55-65. GL youll get the hang on where to stand. Ranger is a fun job but the money is rather frustrating sometimes.

Big load of steaming crap right here. Needing shadows to pull because of low evasion? How about not sucking. It's not hard to pull and outt run a mob(or in the very least, keep the same distance between you and it,) unless you're fighting tigers or raptors. Wow. How situational.

LoL shit happens everyone pulls links your just a little computer nerd who thinks hes perfect at his job. Also we need shadows for pulling hate... Shadows are very useful for most jobs and ranger is not excluded. BTW ask most anyone I party with I think I am a decent puller and I hope they agree. lots of "I" in there lol i was seeing how many i could jam into that sentence.

BTW MNK is the easiest job to play in this game. Its written on every manual you can buy for this game. LOL POL even said that if you are a begining player you should choose monk because it requires little skills to master.

You also forgot that I was speaking to someone who is new to ranger not sure how much they pull or what level they are but i do know they are thief and they are used to pulling and not getting hit very much. Dont be a jackass.

yes you should be able to get both with capped mark and archery at 58
and you get barrage at 60

Uh, yeah. If you know how mobs aggro and their social range, you'll rarely, if ever, link. Ask the remnants of my old static(Ingwe, Pye, or Aftgame if he's still around) about my pulling.

And even then.. you can still hold a lead against links. Crutch. CRUTCH!

But try to level it to 60. Go ahead. I'll give you 500k. No static though, pick up onry.

See, when I pull and Chi Blast is down. I run up and smack the mob and still manage to come back to camp untouched. Except against the mobs I previously list, plus Demons, which I forgot.

A puller should learn the lay out of the area, mobs aggro range, and social range(which is always bigger than aggro range.) You can do many things to give yourself even more of a lead over the thing you're bringing back to camp. Go around rocks a shorter way than they will. Cut Corners.

Saying you need Utsusemi to pull without getting hit is just even further playing it as a crutch.

your right im a gimp ranger and i shouldnt use utsusemi now go be yourself the perfect monk. To tell you the truth you have no idae how to pull cause you dont do it everyday all day as a job. Every Ranger and Thief links no matter what Utsusemi is just enough cution to get mobs back to camp and for me to take enough damage to wear the second mob can be slept. BTW the main reason why I pull link is because the rest of the party is exp hungry and when i say possible link they say go for it.
