Last I checked the flameboard was never so tied up in the facts of the subject.
Don't be ridiculous. Oh yes, its all good and well to post a "flame" and have people respond intelligently, so long as they agree with you? If they don't you want them to GTFO or resort to childish name calling or slick one-liners. Thank god most of us people "Don't know how to read, apparently".
I have a few doctors in my family, and I can assure you that they are not infallible. They make mistakes as much as you or I. The difference between a doctor and the jerk that works at a fast food place who stuffs up an order, is that people don't usually die if they don't get their fries. This just means that they are exceptionally careful, as they should be. Its all good and well to focus on the very few cases where patients are not successfully treated, but many ignore the numerous time a doctor actually saves someone. But who cares right? Its their job.
Another thought - If you claimed to have several horrible incidenst with this particular hospital, then why return there? I merely glanced at their website, but they appear to be a public hospital. Was there no private alternative? If you believe that you can receive better treatment at a private place, and choose not to because you would rather save some cash, then I suggest a review of priorities is in order. If however, you could not afford this, then maybe the medicare system in your country is to blame.
Although not entirely related to the thread, I think people need to start exercising preventative measure in terms of their health, and not just think they can rock up to a hospital, on death's door, with the expectation that a physician will make miraculously cure them. I read of a case a while ago, where a man was suing his doctor for diagnosing his lung cancer, too late for any treatment to save him. While the doctor *should* have detected his cancer, is it not also fair to say that the man should not have been smoking heavily for 30+ years?
