Is there a keyboard/mouse option for the PS3?

I got resistance 2 for my birthday the other day, and I'm finally getting around to playing it. The game is fine, so far(I'm in chapter 1), but I fucking loathe controllers for first person shooters and this is no exception.

I have a wireless mouse/keyboard that works perfectly on the 360, but it doesn't work at all on the PS3. So, is there anything I can buy/use to give me a mouse/keyboard? The mouse is the critical part, the keyboard just has to be something that I can use to move/reload/etc with.

I can't sit through another FPS using the most inferior control method again; so if there's nothing to be done, I'll take this game back and get something else.

Does it work well? Has anyone used it before?

I'm hesitant to go buy a $50 controller for a single game, when the only other FPS I'd play on PS3 would be resistance 3. I'm also losing interest in the game pretty fast, so this might be a moot discussion.

As far as I know, the only game that's keyboard/mouse compatible on PS3 was UT3. Not sure about anything else.

Don't have one myself but it's supposedly very awesome.

Also Resistance 2 campaign is great but the game shines mostly in multiplayer modes. I'd imagine the fragfx would give you a pretty nice edge in competitive, and something of a boost for special ops class in co-op. I'm so used to the controller myself(and don't have a flat surface in front of me to use a mouse) that I never bothered, but it's the best controller setup I can think of as far as the ease of a controller's tightened button structure mixed with the accuracy and speed of a mouse.

When I was lookin' for a Frag FX I ran into a lot of people who didn't like what they had. Apparently the mouse is still governed by a thumbstick. It doesn't move as smooth nor as quick as a normal mouse would. I dunno how it all goes down, but from what I read the Frag FX mouse doesn't equal a mouse in any other way than its look.

What the hell happened to the "You can hook a USB keyboard and mouse up to the PS3 and play games!" back in the day ? Looks like that shit just ain't so for enough games to say that.

Well it's a mouse taking a stick's place, the advantage being a greater precision and more normal style for a PC gamer. There's not much more you can ask for except the ease of UT3, allowing any kb/m. If the game itself is programmed funny and mouse mapping is akward the fragfx isn't at fault. It's just remapping, I do it with my usb 360 controller on my PC to play games, no surface for mouse. The controller can't change the underlying control tho.

Mostly hear very positive things... but was a while ago maybe new games are funny.

The consensus is pretty much everything blows with it except CoD4, which, apparently it's specially tailored for Frag FX in some way. It's all hear-say on my end though.

By the way Baj, what KB & Mouse did you find that actually works on a system (360) with no KB & Mouse support?

I'm gonna assume he uses an adapter, which just maps controller functions out to kb/m input, same as fragfx. Figured out the issue people were having there is mouse and auto aim combo sucks and many games autoaim(including R2).

It was a cheapo logitech wireless keyboard/mouse combo I bought back when I was going to build a media PC. I don't see a model number on any of them.

Just plugged 'em straight in, no adapter or anythin'?

There's the wireless transmitter/receiver that's plugged into the 360, but other than that, nothing else.
