is this a little extreme?

I wish I could go back in time, so that it would be socially acceptable to get married in armor.

I'd do it the old fashioned way. I'd have to kill a dragon and win a princess' heart. (Hopefully a hot princess, but I'm willing to substitute looks for size of kingdom.)

My brother and I wanted to carry swords at our weddings, but decided against it.

Also, don't you know that all princesses were hawt? They were the best-fed women in the entire lordship :p

I'm sure there were some butterface princesses.

If I just spent four hours killing a dragon, and a princess that looked like Sarah Jessica Parker walked out, she had better own half the country.

I know a few couples who are together irl as a result of their gaming interaction. Its strange to think people could actually end up happily married from those interactions but if its for real then more power to them. A friend of mine recently got engaged to a guy she met (they moved in together irl) in EQ1. Kind of out there but if you talked to them you'd never know they met in a game instead of RL.

I just hope they don't waste their honeymoon in the basement fighting monsters :P

It'd be more of a waste if they flew to the Bahamas to sit in a basement fighting monsters.

I think this was really funny.

And what do you think is a bit extreme? That two people who met in a game get married? Happeneed on quetz already :)

I'm sat in the flat of my girlfriend, who I met via Quetz and FFXI. Infact she posted just before me.

Chiimi is right, it has happened on Quetz. A lot of people have met their partners on Quetz actually. ^^;

As for getting married in armor, I've actually been witness to it at a Medieval Faire they have near where I live. Dude was all decked out, so was she (not in armor but something incredibly pretty and of the time period XD). I would like to think having a wedding like that would be really fun, but after looking into it with friends >.> its super expensive.

My GF says if we get married we have to have a Star Trek wedding. I'm not sure I'm game for that but.. meh.

What, like a Klingon wedding? Klingon weddings are the most extremeasaurus weddings ever.

I think its cool! Weddings are so silly anyway, I mean the whole traditional jawn - do what you want and make it fun and cool! At least everyone will remember it!

I'll have to ask her. She's a huge Trekky and I fall asleep anytime she puts the show on. Though, you'll be invited if you dress up!

That's tempting, and I love Star Trek, but that's too nerdy.

I was supposed to go to a medieval wedding this year that would have been totally decked out. Then the bride dumped the groom.

I'd totally have an armor wedding...or a pirate wedding. With a lot of rum.

That would be awesome.

All the wedding I have been to have been fun, but pretty standard. (The only exception being the wedding where two of the groomsmen got into a fist fight. That wedding was awesome.)

I'm sorry, but the princess in another castle.

Also, you'll get the princess who turns into an ogre at night and you'll like it.
