is this funny or messed up?

this has been posted already. and i think its fucking disgusting.
People need to be shot for being that fucking heartless.
little fuckin 10 year olds get off on shit like that.

I found it funny and I'm so glad they pwnd those idiots. People who think they can talk shit and in personal times run from it are FTL. You talk trash you pay the price. Note, the guild that got wtfpwnd previously had rediculous encounters with the opposing guild. They have been at war for a while, as it should be it's PvP. If they didn't want to get rolled on they should have A: Rolled RP ftl or B: watched their mouths and actions prior to the dudes death. Like the saying goes all things eventually catch up with you. Just because it is a game doesn't mean it is any different.

my friend also said they held the "memorial" in a contested territory which means free for all lol. it was their fault to hold it there. the plan was planned and executed really well. you got to at least give them that much. lol.

If the actual player died, then its extremely messed up. If the player quit and people just decided to hold a funeral, its funny... but still a little mean.

Nah man he died from exhaustion or something... Like a Korean on Starcraft. However like the dude above you stated, they were dumb enough to hold it in the biggest free for all pwnage zone in WoW aside from BG's. They could ahve picked a non contested area but got ballsy.

You wanna call the people who did this heartless? How about the shear morbidity (is morbidity a word? I think it is) of the people who set this up? If you wanna play the emotion card, the guy died. And they set up his online personification for display. That'd kinda be like dragging his corpse outside for public viewing. Now isn't that sick and wrong? You wanna talk about being shot for being heartless, how about you have a little respect for the dead.

...Now that's the kind of emotional drivel one of these damn bleeding hearts would spout out. But it makes a great counter to your bullshit sentiment, so I figured I'd toss it out there.

It was their own fault the "memorial" got crashed, they should have taken into account the contested nature of the zone. Plus, it's a PvP server. People are going to gank you. It's what they do. Hell, if I played and caught wind of this, I woulda helped crash it. Cept I woulda been humming the Ride of the Valkyries.

I don't get it. Howcome the people that were there didn't fight back?? To me it seems they were just standing there trying to escape while getting hunted down. It got extremely confusing but that's what I could make out.

The element of surprise. You've got a large group of mixed strength people working as singular units, distracted by the formal event at hand. Then you have a smaller, but more organized force working together with the sole intent of ambushing this larger party in the swiftest fashion possible. Strike quickly picking priority targets with as much power and "bang" you can put into it. You'll kill a fair number of people before anyone understands what's happening, and then there's the ensuing chaos while people try to fight back on thier own versus an organized force. Even though the attendents outnumbered the crashers by 2:1, they never stood a chance against an organized attack force.

so youve never gone to a wake?
parents should teach these kids things now adays.
See a wake is when the persons body is on display so you can pay your last respects.
you know generally 95% of the world does this.
When the pope died his body was displayed in a glass encased bed for those who wanted to say goodbye.
When my grandfather and great grandmother died. I went to the wake/visitation to say goodbye.
What happened in WoW was the exact same thing.
people paying their last respects at a wake that some jack asses showed up and destroyed..
A close friend or clan member probly had their log in info. Not like someone hacked his account and logged in. thats the only case i could see this being wrong in.
So i fail to see how your statement counters something that happens every day when someone dies.

Now say someone in your family died.
And you were at the wake. (or visitation since thats what some people know it as)
And some random group of people just run in and tip over the casket and start pelting the mourners with waterballoons and shit. Who holds the dis respect and hearlessness then?

I'd feel privledged to have my character logged in one last time for people to say goodbye to.
someone typing through my char to say "goodbye" would be fine too. Since i would want to say goodbye, im just not around to do it.

From what I understand about it, the ceremony was held without weapons.

I think it was distasteful what was done. Regardless of whether or not it was a video game, they were still trying to pay their respects to a friend, the means of which don't matter.

Even if it was in a pvp area, the event itself was extremely publicized (from what I have read about it) and people used it as an oppurtunity to ambush those who went (because noone was to carry weapons). It wasn't some random group going through, it was a targetted attack on the ceremony (again, all read, so the validity is undetermined).

Since people aren't reading the import tiny text describing what happened to the person, I'll try to post it here with (?) on the parts I can't spell.

"On Tuesday of February 29th, Illidian(?) loot(?) not only a good mage, but a good person. For those who knew her, Illidiain(?) was one of the nicest persons you could ever meet. on Tuesday she suffered from a stroke and pased away later that night.

I'm making this post historically(?) to inform..." Rest goes on about scheduling the wake/funeral.

Point being it was a girl, and she didn't die of exhastion, it was a stroke.
People who think they can talk shit and in personal times run from it are FTL.
The guild that got killed was the ones being quoted complaining about the guild that killed eventually killed them from what I see in the video. How is being upset about someone playing with poor sportsmanship equate to talking trash? Its like criticizing someone for using hacks in ffxi (and they actually did), is that talking trash and deserving of mpk?

While its not a big deal, the raid was rude and disrespectful to friends trying to pay rememberance to the only way they knew their friend, through the game. This is just like many of us who only know friends on here through the game. If a friend on here died, you would feel ackward at their real funeral, but in game funeral could still give you some comfort.

They should've had some means of defense, I mean, they could've chipped in some gold and hired mercenary groups to the protect the wake if it meant so much to them, but they didn't have anything to protect themselves, and were slaughtered in the process of trying to pay respects.

Their fatal flaw was counting on people's sense of morality, something that shouldn't be depended on too often.

Also, how did they get the parts of the video from the funerals perspective? Something smells fishy here.

you can tell who filmed it from the fraps perspective. A member of the group that assaulted them was at the wake waiting for their group to arrive. Acting as a scout.
