Got a 360 today, and I've been trying to import my xbox live account(silver, don't care about gold). I input my email and password and then it says that Xbox Live is unavailable. In the network settings, the connection test says that I can connect, and I know the ethernet cable/router works since I unplugged it from my PS3.

Is there something I have to do to get connected, or is the network down? I can log into xbox.com through my LIVE account, so I know the information is correct and that I actually have one, I just can't seem to confirm it through the xbox. My roommate has even tried creating his own, same problem.

So, can anyone help?

Nevermind, finally got connected.

I believe there was an update.

Ah, that would explain it. I had to restart some games since I had been using an offline tag, but I'm glad it's finally up. Now my lolPS3's just going to collect dust.

Why would your PS3 collect dust now because you just got a gaming system? PS3 is obviously a BRD player man. Jeez get with the times Baj...

People actually use the PS3 to play games and not only blu-rays? News to me lol.

I'm not going to get enough use out of my ONE blu-ray movie(Spiderman 3 that was in the box) to keep it from collecting dust. Honestly, if the thing couldn't function as a media PC, I'd never have bought the thing.

Then maybe you guys should not make it a fanboy issue, especially since the thread was dead already.

Sorry i am just sad with my PS3 lately... Will MGS4 be enough to save it for me... I dunno. ;;

This thread has been in the top 3 latest posts in XboX talk for 6 days at this point in time, so it's hardly dead. Personally i never had anything to add to the thread from time, but i do agree with Firestreak.

It's been in the top because no one was talking about anything, that doesn't mean it's alive. It's still a dead thread because no one had posted in it for two days(half it's lifespan at that point) and the purpose behind the OP had been dealt with. People got their jokes in, everyone laughed, and then everyone forgot about the thread. If Firestreak hadn't pointlessly posted(lol @ the biggest fanboy on the form asking to not make it a fanboy thing), then this thread would never have been posted in again. Then you posted another three days after that only to echo his request for no fanboy shit(again, lol @ that); so the only ones keeping it alive have been you two.

The only ones who would have stirred up some "fanboy shit" are you two posting in the thread. I saw his post, but didn't feel like responding because I'm tired of dealing with that dumb shit; but then you threw in your two cents and the irony of you two asking that there be no fanboyism in the thread was just too much to bear.

Why fanboy shit was discussed in this thread at all makes me wonder... why? The OP is clearly asking an XBOX 360 question and only a quip about PS3, not salespitch for or against PS3 fanfare.

So instead of it degenerating into a FB worthy off-topic problem, I'll let Bajarett keep the last word -- despite any prior convictions over the worthiness of HD-DVD vs. BlueRay.
