From the people who brought you 9/11, the plot now thickens... Secret messages are now encoded in every page you print so the government can control you! Don't believe it? Sounds like an episode of Alias? Feast your eyes on the link above and be afraid. Be very afraid...

I am afraid, of idiots who believe this lunacy.

Apparently the fact that the dots are real is not one that is being argued but the interesting thing is that this is being spearheaded by people at MIT and the best i can tell they are trying to get their way by irritating the companies who are doing what is asked of them by the government

So... if you are going to counterfit... buy samsung or okidata

so wait, how does the fact that some printers tag printed documents to identify what printer it was printed from mean that the government is tracking us and spying on us?

thats like getting in a huff because when you use a gun it leaves a distinct mark on the bullet and shell casing for that gun.
"GAH! im tired of the government tracking me threw the bullets i shoot, The fact that you can trace that bullet back to my gun is a TOTAL invasion of my privacy!"

The logic some people go by just amazes me O.o

How can society get pissed off that there are standards in place to track documents printed back to the original source WHEN the real sole purpose would be to avoid/solve counterfeit crimes?

The more money in circulation the less value it holds, right?

Exactly. Although I don't think our Governments are contacting firearm manufacturers and demanding the barrels leave these markings, if they did, so what? Ballistics science (or art OR expertise) is ingenious. It helps solve crimes and put criminals behind bars where they belong. This is a good thing.

All these conspiracy theories floating about need to be taken with a grain of salt. Sure many of them will make you think but ultimately common sense and logic, sensibility is all we need to see through the paranoia.

EDIT: Zeitgeist.. ok that movie got me thinking sure. There were a lot of very strong accusations, lots of "coincidences". I like to take a step back and ask myself.. if the government(s) and powers that be can BRAINWASH society, then the paranoid type with sharp tongues can BRAINWASH society.

There are so many naive impressionable minds out there waiting for someone to crack the "conspiracies" wide open just so they can jump on board and say "I FUCKING knew it!!"..you know, but that in itself in a conspiracy theory. So the question is, which side are you on?? lmao.. really.. I'm just going to live me life, I'm a peon like millions of others, unimportant. =)

I heard about this a long time ago, just like how you can track old typing machines by the way they type or something.

Even if true, who the fuck cares? The government have better stuff to do then look through every page printed in the US to see what you wrote yesterday. Its the same thing like those who don't like having cameras put up in public places to catch crime. If you don't do anything illegal, why care?

These people will go into convulsions if they ever look into the cards/keytags you use at the grocery store.....

These people know that you can track a document to a printer anyway right?
