Iso's gimp-lookin' Sigs! ~ Taking Requests (3 sigs, 1 Avatars and 1 WP To make) ~

OK Iso quick Tut on glow settings ... this will give you a place to start. The rest is just playin w/ the settings until u get what you like.

First, Click your working layer

Bring up your blending options menu. (The little f icon on bottom of your layes palette. Click Outer Glow.

Once you have your Layer Style window up click the Blend Mode and try the different modes until you get one that works for you. As in Second & Third pictures below you can adjust the color of your glow, technique, Spread, Size, etc ... etc... etc... I Added A drop Shadow and Inner Shadow to make character stand off BG a little and I duplicated Joy toy on new layer, adjusted Brightness and Contrast settings so it was a little more visible.

Add you Text layers and Effects and there you have it ^.^ My finished product. (total time including background and saving & Cropping desktop images approx. 2 hours) This is my Finished Image !!

Thanks for the tips and visuals Nog. I understand how that works a bit more now. ^^ BtW that pic looks fuckin badass! And~ what program do you use? Altana View or Foyle's Model Viewer? I find Foyle's is missing alot of gear, but Altana view is hard to work with, within Photoshop (cropping, erasing bg's and etc.) And suggestions on which program works better? Thanks in advance, Nog!

Still Usin Foyle's ... I don't have either of the new expansions installed on my computer due to the fact I play on PS2. Haven't tried the Altana View yet. I've been off exploring the Tech. Style Sigs and and broadening my skills w/ PS. I've actually pocketed some change w/ some of my recent stuff. I forgot how much fun I have workin w/ the FFXI Characters.

Diffused setting and Pink ... Much more subtle ... Lets your Character and your work on the BG stand out more. Good shits Iso ...
 
(*'-')/ ty :D means alot comin from you ^^

another question for you Nog: i fell a bit limited on my BG's. I make all my own, but i feel limited on to what i can do. Do you make your own? Any tips? I use gradiant or pattern base layers and then use the paint brush tool and add other stuff when i can.

I'm actually taking the next 10-12 weeks off from FFXI, with the exception of CoP and Sky. So I really won't be ingame at all, unless i need to take screenie for some stuff I'm working on.

I've more or less been playing the last year nonstop, and I
ve been feeling burnt out, and not really wanting to play at all. So I'm hoping this little break will refresh my want to be ingame playing. :) :) So, I'll more then likely be back eventually. Just need a little time away from my ingame life, and to focus on my Real one.
 
Wow you are getting really good at these Iso.

btw I put mine on my desk top and have been getting lotsa ooooo's and ahhhhh's from my friends when they pop by for visit..
