Issues With Dark AF Helmet

Ok, so I need some help with this. I initially tried to get this about a month ago. Things did not go as planned, my party was aggroed and were terminated by the NMs.

Not a big deal. I went to get more Mages blood. Tried again last night. I was unable to pop the NMs. I figured maybe I had to re-activate the quest, even though it still showed as current in my quest log. (Blade of Evil) So I go and talk to Cid all he says is "Remember what I told you to do?" so thats not the problem.

I went back with a full PT again tonight, a lot of the same people as Yesterday and i appreciate the time they have taken out of their game and personal time for me. Same results. I can't trade the item. If I do nothing happens. If I touch the ??? It says "Nothing Happens".

What am I doing wrong? Can anyone please help? Any Replies would be appreciated.

Never heard of that problem happening before. Are you sure you got the correct pop item? Are you sure you're going to the correct ??? as well? DId you try teleporting out of the room using the teleporter in the room to see if you get the cutscene (perhaps you killed one of the NMs and that was good enough)? If none of that works, my best advice would be to find another DRK who is at this quest and just kill the NMs when he pops them.
