SE, what were you thinking? the whole concept of getting a possibly rare item, then trading it in for identification and a chance at a rare treasure is an awesome idea.

I love that kind of thing, collecting the items, hunting them down, etc, Kudos!

And then you go and mess it up. Example, ??? headpiece. Good chance at a R/E hat I want, awesome.

Wait hold on, there's another ??? headpiece that gives me chance at another hat, and another, wow there's three of these? I don't even want the other two... How do I avoid these ones?

What? They have identical icons and descriptions? What? How the...?

Ok SE seriously wtf, you are beyond stupid. How am I supposed to tell if this complete stranger is selling me a junk item for a high price?

This ??? dagger is going to give me a matron's knife or pahluwahn katars?!

If this ??? neck is gonna be a necklace, or PCC? Dammit SE any stranger can put an ??? item, regardless of real worth, up for the price of the best one and people will then assume it is the said awesome item, trade it in, and get ripped off...

Honestly how long would've it taken you to go through and use a turban icon for storm turban headpiece, mask for storm zucheto, and cap for the curates hat?

No I don't, I find people who are online and get them to trade with me in pt, thus if its wrong item I can immediately tell, but I could much easier buy from bazaars instead if SE had spent the 1 day to make different dats for items instead of copy pasting them all.

Maybe it's too much to ask of SE to not skip corners, but it still doesn't stop from pissing me off

They weren't made to be sold, they are like a bonus from winning an assault or doing something. I have been trying for a loong time to get Sanguine Sword, Phi Necklace, Divisor Ring(got), PCA and Omicron Ring. Just do the assaults for point, and think of the ??? as a bonus.. and if you get the item then your lucky. I have no idea why someone would even buy a ??? item, there is only about 10% chance to appraise and then you have to trust the guy who is selling it. I don't think it was a bad idea by SE, I think its a bad idea for the player to buy the ??? item.

Maybe if it was R/E, but when the item I'm going for requires captain rank and I'm still a private, while trying to do nyzul, it becomes a big nuisance.

Not everyone has the time to do an assault every day of the week. Not everyone even has the time to do assaults period.

lol, I always asked myself "who would actually buy these from a bazaar, with zero way of knowing what the outcome will be?"

I dunno if they're a *good* chance that you'll get the r/ex item you want anyway, most Nyzul and Assault ??? drops only offer a 1-10% chance that it will appraise to the "ultimate" item it can be.

+1 point for Bone Hairpins from Nyzul Isle!

What. Curate's Hat doesn't require Captain. No assault requires Captain, let alone any ??? item. If you're gonna complain, don't BS your complaint.
And if you're too lazy to grind for Sergent Major, one of the easier ranks to get (who am I kidding, all ranks outside of Captain are easy if you just do the same assault over and over again, but let's just say you were trying as fast as possible), then you really don't have a right to complain anyway. And there are more secure ways to tell if you are getting the hat you want than just saying "come to me and I'll give you money for a hat!", but no one should be too dense to figure out how.

My point is simple, I shouldn't have to go through security measures, and the fact that I have to is what is ticking me off.

I should be able to buy items out of a bazaar and not have to worry if its even the right item or not. I should be able to look and see that, yep, that's the right item.

Instead, I can't do that do to security and have to resort to much more complicated means to ensure the item I'm getting is in fact the right one I want. I need to hunt down non afkers, meet together, go through multiple trades using the half now half after method, and warning them there will be hell to pay if they're lying to me about item.

All just to ensure I'm getting the right item, something I shouldn't have to be doing in the first place, which is why I'm venting here, see I made it bold this time so people can understand.

All I really have for option is buy the hat, or solo gold head with 2 mules every couple days til I hit SM, then do a blitz pick up run every now and then and ask politely for the ??? headpiece and hope the pick ups comply.

Unless blitz is soloable by a 75 dancer and 2 mules, anyone know?

The hat is just one example of many ??? item equips I want and am trying to get.

There are a couple rings, earrings, matrons knife, and other odds and ends I'd like to get.

And the fact there are 10 different rings, any of which could be the one I want, makes it very annoying and frustrating to work at.

And yeah I may ask friends for blitzkreig, doubt anyone would be up for it since most of the people I know do have the time for nyzul/assault statics and are in them, thus don't have any tags to spare.

I've gotten Captain and done shittons of Nyzul isle. I only ever saw 2 items drop. Archers ring and a Gae Bolg. I would suggest not going after 5+ ??? items...

ive seen a few good items come from ??? items from nyzul. everything from pca to trotters. good luck gettin anything out of them with any consistency though.

It's more like, there are 5 scratch pads you can choose from, all look identical, but only one of the 5 has anything worthwhile winning.

Now that's still gambling if you have your choice of the 5, but my problem is the store owner knows what pad is what, and he can sell you one of the fakes (A ??? gear that does not give me what I want) and tell you it's the one, thus ripping me off.

I have no way to tell whether or not if it's legit unless I trade it in or use a complex method to ensure I get the one I want.

Ummm ever buy scratch and win/lose tickets in a store? I've watched people blow $ trying to spot the winning ticket, guess what the store owner dont know which one is a winner, no more than your afk bazzar owner does. Buyer beware I'd say.
