I would agree. It is cool to talk to people form the game outside of the game. The main reason i like it is because nobody around you has any idea what you are talking about. The expression on their faces are priceless.

I agree lmao, A few in game friends call me on their cellphones when they have a free minutes thing (after 7 or something >.>, I never pay attention.).

Yes, the expression on a person's face when they over-hear you talk about camping, popping, crafting, and the source and possible solution of DRG hate on the server is indeed priceless. XD

Hmm, must admit, never done that before.. And never have actually thought about trying it. lol I stick with people I know irl mostly who play the game. But I guess it would be a nice thing as well. ^^

I think a good number of fun moments on the game has been when my friends and I start up a cell phone conference call chain. We can all complain and laugh about certain FFXI stuff while getting to know one another aside from the computer display model. Some of my friends call more than others because we share the same cell phone plan. It is an eye opener to hear from other areas of the world (well er… Canada). And yes, sometimes your friends have awesome voices.

Out of the two servers I play on, Q server seems to be friendlier with phone communication. Although it is fun and all, I had to make sure that I was comfortable with distributing the number out to these certain people and that I received a phone number back.

Especially when your mic doesn't work and you have to use TTS to communicate. Oh god that robot voice makes me laugh everytime!! ><
