Nice, i only played Outbreak so far, but i heard RE4 was a God send. Hopefulyl ill get around to playing RE5

i guess. i've never been a huge fan of the series, and the last one was kind of mapped out easy for you to beat style.

dont get me wrong, i like games i can run through, but there was about a 1 on a creepy factor out of five on the last one, so if they're going to do it, they better do it right.

skeptical, is all.
 
I'm so excited. RE is one of my favorite games ever.

Anyone got an idea on who the character in the trailer is? I'm saying either Chris or Billy.

The only thing scary about RE4, was the Regenerators. And it's only because of the sound they make. Well, and the Iron Maidens, but I only jumped when I saw what they do when they get a hold of you... Ouch.

But yeah, looking forward to 5.

But I'm guessing it's Carlos, from 3.
 
Lmao, Skaw, I thought I was the only one creeped out by those damn things. Everytime I heard that sound I wanted to kill the damn things ASAP.

Not 100% sure but i think Billy is from Rezy 0 ( didnt play that one so not realy sure)
 
true, it wasn't really a scary game. But then again, the only game I have played that have a creepy feeling about it is probably Silent Hill 3 (haven't played 1 and 2, 4 sucked).

Although, Project Zero was a pretty creepy game too, but I still hated it.

Yep. Billy was the Prison inmate from 0, Barry was the pussy helicopter pilot, and Crhis was the bad ass.

Barry wasn't a pilot. He was the guy who knew guns. In the cutscene after you defeat the Tyrant in the Resident Evil remake, he even starts checking his gun.
 
My guesses based on the trailer:

It stars Chris
It takes place in a Middle Eastern area (T-Virus got used as a weapon?)
The enemies are zombies agian but now they can run
Apparently RE4 was an isolated event
 
Just been doing abit of browzing on Gamespot.com and i dug up some info that the main character is Chris Redfield from RE1.

When asked about the unshaven man, Takeuchi said that the core developers for RE5 include staff members that worked on RE1, hinting that it might possibly be Chris Redfield from the original Resident Evil. Takeuchi also revealed that RE5 will be an authentic sequel to the series' main storyline rather than a side story. He added that if the main character is indeed Chris, the developers might be preparing to create some kind of a conclusion to the series' long storyline.

Ohman. I hope it's not the end of the series. I love the RE series, but I can understand if they want to end it.

Anyway, seems like Chris will be the best bet.. which is unfortunate, seeing as Jill & Leon are the most popular out of the RE characters. Hopefully they'll be in the storyline.
